giftlets

http://www.freequiltpatterns.info/free-tutorials---baby-locks-snappy-holidays-project-round-up.htm

Some little giftlets to give to a friend or family member.

A nice block for a Christmas quilt  , star of the east.
Block from Susan at Starwood Quilter.

This lovely bright bag is made of 2 1/2 inch strips so no extra cutting needs to be done especially if you have a jelly roll roll. Then no cutting is necessary at all except for lengths, that means some cutting. Oh well you know what I mean.

So maybe I need to get back to my day before my brain rusts out completely from the rain.

We met  Bob and Buzz for lunch today. As usual we had great conversations. They are taking their son and his wife plus the two grandchildren to Hawaii and first class. Boy was I impressed. the only time I was ever in first class was on a trip coming back from New Brunswick where I was upgraded for some magical reason. Thank you Lord!!  It was good.

We  had some good laughs, can anyone remember what they laughed about or only that they laughed. I am in the latter category recalling that the laughter and the good it does to your soul.

We spent over two hours eating, drinking and talking. Old friends are wonderful as you go through so many things together and they are always there.
There those naughty  boys, can't you see it in their mouths that they are looking for trouble, well look below for trouble LOL.

Lovely aren't we...... hahaha.

Then Ray and I went to Bentley's to buy a new  purse.  For me not for him LOL.
Here is my new travelling purse

It is big enough to carry all the stuff I want to carry. Except for my laptop. I am having doubts about taking it with me on the trip.  It will be just one more piece to take care of.  I wonder if I can write my blog from Quebec on Daniel's computer. Since I don't write French....

Then we bought the cutest little wallet for Lynn. She loves frogs and we pick up any frog item we see so I think she will not just like this one but love it. I do!

Isn't it adorable?

When we got home Margaret came over with dinner. Michael my nephew and Marg's son is a chef and he makes Marg's dinner so they sometimes send some over for us. Spaghetti and veggies delicious. Thanks guys.

We had our usual good chat and talked about some neighbourhood things, like the cost of the extensive work being done on the units across the street. Marg didn't know the exact cost but it was huge. Those units are CO OPs and they have to cover the costs even though they cannot sell them at an increased market price, only getting what they put into the unit in the first place, which was a minimal  amount at the beginning, maybe $5000.  So it must be really problematic for the owners. It would be for me.

Ornamental Tile - mostly squares which makes a block much easier to do.

You know how much I love turtles and not the chocolate kind. These babies are just adorable.I suspect that the baby shells will be a bit soft at this age. So great care needs to be taken. The shell will harden up in the near future. The upper shell is the carapace and the bottom shell is the plastron.

Time's up folks.
Have a lovely evening.
Noswaith dda.
