I'm a winner

After doing our shopping Ray and I went to the casino and I won approximatley  $350 which gives me enough for a ticket to Calgary . But then I think of it after Christmas I won't need $$$$ because I should be able to use my air miles I did give Ray a hundred. It is Ray's 75th birthday on Monday . Sam is taking him to dinner so I just gave him money and then he said it was too much. It is hard to give him anything . He says he doesn't need anything.
I didn't want anything on my 80th either as I had all I ever wanted.

Now for Christmas I would like to have my dear son healthy but that is not going to happen. However he is happy tonight, his girl friend helped him trim the tree and he cooked her a lovely dinner.
He chooses to do the best with his life that he can. He is a very brave man.

We made arrangemnts for Rick to use our parking spot while he is here when we are in Quebec.

Ray was looking through the pockets of my winter coat which I have only worn the last time we were in Quebec to see if there was anything in them and if he needed to wash my coat or send it to the cleaners. He came up with $55 and held out his hand for me to take the money. I have a bad habit of leaving money in my coat pockets. You have no idea how many times I have found money in my pockets. Then he went through the kleenexes I had in them and found another $70. I got that too LOL. I was rich. In the end he got the money ....

I talked to Adam today, he and Lisa just got home from California where he had a contract .
I am feeling better today and think I may even feel like quilting again. This past week I thought I may never do that again. However we need to keep up with the things that we enjoy so I'll go to the  church on Tuesday to my sewing group.

December, the last of the monthly banners, sleds and all. And it is free for the month.

Isn't this an interesting block. An optical illusion I wonder -do you see a spool or a butterfly. And the fabric is wonderful, it is The Dressmaking Collection-Vintage Notions by Amy Barickman.
Susan of Starwood Quilter made this block.

The fabrics in this block are gorgeous , Susan once more.

These fellows are just wonderful with their fabulous knit caps. They wear them well. LOL.

Setting up for winter. We have a lot of bald eagles in B.C. but none around here unfortunately. They hang out in Brackendale Park where there is plenty of food for them to eat.

I don't know what these beautiful little guys are but I do so like them. If anyone knows what they are let me know, will you.

Aww... he is just a few weeks old and is so adorable.

That's the end folks.
 Have a great evening.
Guten abend.
