First off we went to Fabricana to buy some white thread and a few more colours. We did not even go into the Fabric part of the store. But threads are not cheap by any means. It is surprising. But if I
want good thread I pay more. It is like fabric, you buy at a quilt shop to get good quality fabric and it is expensive.
We went up to our little mall for bread and ran into an adorable little dog. Ray asked his owner if I could take a picture and he was so good about that. The dog is a long haired tiny Dachshund.
Peter my third son came over today with his wife Judith. Peter lives in Calgary and is close with Richard. He will help Rick as much as he is able. He has a full time job so has to take his time about help ing him but he goes over there twice a week and takes his garbage out and do any other household task that he can. We had a good visit and went over some of the things we can do for him. Peter will have a lot to bear as a primary caregiver and the family will help him out if he needs respite.
Then Rick called and we talked about his life in Calgary. He is happy there and has many friends. Tonight he was going to the zoo with friends to see the lights. Every year Calgary lights up the zoo to celebrate Christmas.
I called Adam and of course as the oldest he reassured me of his and Lisa's support when the time comes that Rick is in greater need. We talked about how well Rick is dealing with this at the moment. Who knows what comes next for him in the emotional area of his life. I am so happy with my boys, they are all in line with Richard's illness and ready to help him.
We had home made soup for supper. Ray had made the soup a few weeks ago and froze some of it. It was still delicious. :)))
Now we are watching the news. Weather report: 3.6 degrees znd apparently a bit of snow early in the morning. But gone quickly..

Grandmother's Choice in the fight for women's rights in New Zealand. I don't care for the first application but the second one is good. The photos B&W are good examples of what happened in those days. Be sure to go right to the bottom of the page for the photo of the instructions.
Charlie Browns Christmas tree . Did his tree actually have ornaments LOL. And in a galvanized bucket.....
Time to go for tonight.
Have a great evening.
Buona notte.
