anvil

Little Anvil   is  a lovely block.

I       have had a very busy week. Last night was the teachers group for pot luck. We have had the group, only 7 of us left, for nearly 30 years but it still is worth the time to go to it. The conversation is always good, the food delicious and the time flies every night. I did not get home until after 10:30.

Today and part of the evening Ray And i went to the casino in Coquitlam. We have had good luck there and it continued today. Within 30 minutes of sitting down I won 950 dollars. Great win . I shared it with Ray, gave him half my winnings. We had a good day there , ate our dinner which was a Reuben sandwich with fries. It was excellent. I had a coffee and Ray had a 7 UP. We sat and chatted for a while then went back into the casino. This casino was where Ray won $600 and I won $300 on our last trip. I don't know how long the luck will hold up but it is fun while it lasts.

So that makes Wednesday, Friday and Saturday that I have been out in the evening. Quite a week for me. But fun though.
In the morning Ray and I went to the grocery to do our shopping. I have been snacking on lettuce with oil and vinegar .It is a good treat when I am a bit peckish.

Rick is in Paris now but not happy with the attitude of Parisiennes. No consideration for wheel chair visitors. He asked for a taxi with wheel chair accommodations. They said they would send one and when it came there was no wheelchair access. that happened twice. It ruins his feeling for Paris.

Equilateral triangles make for a lovely quilt. Stars in which all three sides of the triangle are the same size are easy on the eyes.

Notice the double stars.

It was raining hard today so I took this picture of our central courtyard in the rain.

Here is a cute little baby quilt , a one block wonder I call it. I did not make this one but am considering it.

Is this dog doing the contortion on purpose or is she handicapped. I don't know. I found out though. She was used as a submissive to train aggressive fighting dogs. She has been abused and disfigured as a result. It is so sad.

This is a nice string quilt, I like the separations between the blocks and the way the one block is different because of the way it is placed.

and here is a doggie quilt. The dogs are all cut from different fabrics. I love it.

Time to go folks.
I hope your evening was lovely.

Good night.
