Are U from Texas

Then here's a block for you, a Texas cowboy boot.

Download now as a pdf pattern

Our hockey team has a new coach, John Tortorella , traded from New York in exchange for Alain Vigneault . Not really an exchange but they did trade places. Tortorella is quilte a change in style from Alain Vigneault. He is cranky , yells at the players and is generally outraged by the media, whereas Vigneault is soft spoken and treats his players as equals. It should be a good year for Canucks hockey or should I say an interesting year ahead.

Another day in. We thought Rick would be here but he was unable to make it. He said he'd come tomorrow.  We have appointments tomorrow with the doctor at 11:15 so he said he would keep that in mind. Ray's Potassium levels are not going down as they should. They are at 5.4 and he had hoped for a lesser number. The doctor should be able to help him out we hope.  There is such a small range of numbers to cope with. The numbers are from 5 to 6. Anything outside of those parameters can cause  a heart attack. He is in the middle so I am not really worried , we'll see what the doctor says.
I am going to see the doctor for these dizzy spells but am sure she can fix that.

I had considered sewing today but could not because of the dizziness where I tend to fall over. Tend to I said but I did not actually fall over except for on Sunday. If the Doctor treats this I can get going again. I have some blocks for the guild and would like to get them done so I can return them to Community Quilts next Tuesday.
The pot luck for our Tuesday morning group took place today in Langley on Diane's lovely property. I did not go since I was afraid that I might have a dizzy spell and cause Pat to bring me home thus spoiling her day.  I am sure they all had a lovely time.
Flood update....
The impact on the people of Alberta is so high that they think it is going to be 10 years in the fixing. High River is still completely evacuated and under water. It is so horrible.
High River under water.
Calgarians  are digging out from under the mud and debris. Such a   horrible job.

Cute quilt, can't remember where I found the photo so so way to tell you where the pattern is. It does make me laugh though.

Have a look here for a number of quilts, table runners and such plus the patterns. It is a good place to rest your eyes for a while.
Remember this? Many of us learned to type on a typewriter like this one. I didn't though. I never learned to type until I got a computer and then it took some years to get it down. I was forced into learning by my sons.

So adorable momma and baby resting . Is momma a dachsund ? Yes, I looked them up and she is a dachsund.

Steveston fishing boats in the twilight . Steveston is a small town  across the bridge to Richmond . It is delightful a nice touristy type of place to go. We go there for lunch once in a while. There are lots of fish being sold right off the boats and several fish and chip restaurants. Nice place.

Another quilt , nice one but again I forgot to locate the pattern and can't recall the site that showed it. I must get better at that.

And here is a guy who could do with a barber LOL.  I love these crazy roosters.

Yes I want to knit and if you don't stop me soon this year will be all over the place and all tangled up. Ask me how I know? I once owned cats and yarn. The two do not go together no matter what the cat says.

That's all for tonight folks.
Have a lovely evening, it is one here, beautiful weather for tonight.
Good night!

Life is just one big balancing act.
