Wow a long blog

Great day today and a busy one as well.
We left home early to meet our grandson Sam for a 10:00 breakfast at ABC restaurant where we were yesterday.  We had a long visit and it was so lovely. Interesting topics about drugs. We are so innocent about this social disease. Young people know.
Sam said he had heard of young people  who did all the right things , worked hard, went out of town for a time, sent money home for the wife and kids and when they were home they would do drugs after everything else was taken care of. It was their treat to themselves for doing the right thing by the family. I was stunned. What about the outcome of this type of behaviour. I am fearful that they will die and leave their families bereft. It is like walking along the yellow line in a traffic mess. Brave souls but kind of , if I may use the term, stupid.
After this interesting conversation we parted but not before we took some photos. Sam said people who saw my photos would think it was the only restaurant in town since I regularly take pictures at the doorway of the restaurant when we get together. Maybe we should change where we eat LOL.
Ray and his pal.

Sam and his pal.

The old couple but still beautiful LOL.

We came home because we were expecting Lynn the cleaning lady at 1:30. But at 1:30 she called and said she could not come as there was no one to take care of her elderly patient. I think she was waiting for someone to take over and they did not come. So Wednesday is the next day we decided on. We are having lunch out with Bob and Buzz but I'll check with them to see if they can come a bit early and check with Lynn to see if she can come a bit later. That should work.
Then Ray decided to go to Ford to ask why his car which is a 2011 did not hold on a hill and backed off a bit. He thought there was something wrong with it. He was told it was on purpose to help prevent pollution. Why? I have no idea.
We also went to Fabricland to buy fabric for  my Bingo game. I'll get that ready tonight to take to the Post Office tomorrow. Or I'll get Ray to do that.
We went up to our little mall to the produce market for strawberries hoping they would be better than the ones we bought on Saturday. I'll be eating them soon so I'll know.
Then we went into the mall itself  for a bit of a rest but went into the grocery store instead to pick up a couple of items.
Home again , and just as we opened the door the phone rang. It was Marg wanting to come over with a book for me. She did come over for a while and we chatted.
Then I made dinner. I cooked sausages. They were from Costco and we did not like them at all. I cooked some egg noodles, sauted chopped garlic, chopped celery and onion, mixed it all into the frying pan. It was a good idea but the sausages were not.
We ate it though and after Ray made strawberries on one of the little cakes they sell for that and whipped cream. It was delicious LOL How could it not be?

Have a good look at this blog for a quilt experience you don't want to miss. The quilts here are stunning, amazing, fabulous and any other superlative you want to use.
I have not seen anything like these quilts.

Now for something more simple LOL.

But scroll down to see what you can do with one churn dash block. A minor miracle it is.

What a mom, there are 13 or 14 puppies in this litter. And they all have such gorgeous silky delicious brown fur.

This kind of mystified me. Is it covered in an extra skin or can it be an albino turtle, the rest of them are very dark. Unusual to say the least.

A Saint Bernard outside the mall. She was sitting there nice and quiet when a woman a stranger to her got right into her face. She got riled up and went for the woman's face. Fortunately her owner had her by the lead and she was the one who said it was all right to approach the dog. Both of them were behaving badly. The dog was right!! Strangers to dogs are often considered the enemy by the dog and therefore dangerous.
Tea Time and since it was Chamomile it is time to go.
Have a wonderful evening!
Good night.
