Calgary under water. I had a bigger blog done for today and it is gone. That happens to me on occasion. So just to let you know it is my Pot Luck night with my long time teacher friends so the blog will not be finished until later this evening. Back to Calgary. I want you to know that Rick and Peter are both okay. Peter stayed home today and did his work from home. There is not much in the way of travelling around the city. My friend Mary wrote to say she was also fine, not flooded out. She went to superstore , there was almost no produce left , absolutely no bottled water and people were coming out of the store with armloads of toilet paper. She asked What does that say about people. I say they want to stay clean LOL.
When I was on my uncle's farm in 1944 they were quite poor and had to use Eaton's catalogue for toilet paper. It was not fun to wipe with a shiny surface paper. I was a city girl and used to all the amenities of life. LOL.
Another flood photo. See the car almost under water in the foreground. The lower floors of these buildings must be very wet.
Apparently the Saddledome , the arena for games and such has water up to the 10th row of seats. Oh my that will be a mess to clean up. The city will be a mess along with all the other smaller towns that have been affected by the flood, some so bad they are almost fully underwater.
After we went to the Bay we came home and did nothing for the rest of the day. So lazy. Tomorrow I'll cook LOL. We shop so I'll buy something I want to cook. I am looking for lamb burgers and if I find them that will be dinner.
That's it for now, when I get home I'll finish the blog.
