flying geese a useful block

Download now as a pdf pattern
Flying geese. These come in very handy for borders , sashings and other things. Everyone should know how to make them.

Anonymous corrected me  regarding Mary Alice's lovely bag and said it is for an I Pad not an I Pod. So an I Pad it is. Since  I don't have one of those I got it wrong LOL. Maybe it is time to buy one.

And I called a picture of baby  Hedgehogs.....   Porcupines. Too bad about my mistakes but now they ate corrected thanks to my sharp eyed readers. Thank you ladies.
The rain was pounding down last night and today, thankfully no flooding here but Alberta is another story. Massive flooding in High River, not intended as a pun, and Canmore. Calgary has its own set of problems as the Elbow is rising. It appears that there may be problems there.
High River just south of Calgary lots of water there.
We did a bit of toing and froing today. First we went to the Nursery because we wanted to find a hanging pot holder for the front door and a plant to put in it. There are thousands of those things in a nursery and we could not find what we wanted. I was
disappointed. We had a coffee and Ray had a piece of pie at the little coffee shop in the nursery. The rain was coming down heavily but it was enchanting watching it through the windowed doors.

Ray after strawberry and rhubarb pie.  He doesn't look too happy, maybe it is the rhubarb.

And me after coffee.
Holding up my heavy head. I tell Ray that there are a lot of brains in there and it gets heavy LOL.
Yellow is so cheerful.

Almost as big as a plate haha.

Isn't this a gorgeous tree, so unusual. I like the way they pruned it.

Then we had to go for bread , yes bread again. Sometimes I get tired of going for bread as I eat very little of it and so much gets thrown out because it is stale in a day or so.
Somehow my print has become very small, how does that happen?

After the bread we bought a few items for dinner. And just came home. Not a very exciting day.
Now this could be exciting LOL. Poor kitty he has one of those faces, it doesn't  mean he is mean !!
A beautiful American Goldfinch , such a lovely yellow and black pattern on its feathers.

I found this wonderful picture of a beautiful house and its signature quilt block on the front outside wall.
I have seen quilt blocks on barns but this is the first time I have seen one on a house. It is very attractive.
This would be a very beautiful  addition to your home. Summer is so pretty with all the gorgeous baskets.

Time to go now friends.
Have a great evening.
Good night!
