Dutchman's Puzzle , use your Flying Geese to make this block.

Last night I was so tired after potluck I went to bed and fell asleep. Maybe Ray is right about me staying home at night but that isn't going to work LOL. I was good today ,even did some cooking.
I am so concerned about the devastation in Calgary and southern Alberta. The damage is horrendous and the clean up will be beyond horrendous. Road beds and rail tracks were all undermined by the raging waters. Houses had water on the lower floors and some even on the upper floors. The Saddledome has water high up on the 10th row and I can only think of how awful it will be to clean the water and mud out of a stadium. How will they remove the smell that comes along with that. Downtown Calgary is closed, no power is available and people are not allowed to go to work. Peter is working at home, fortunately he can do that on his computer. His apartment is safe and has not been affected by the flood waters , neither has Rick's building been affected so I am grateful for that.
My blog had this terrible small print, how that came about is anybody's guess but I waved my cursor around by mistake and up came the print I had previously. Computers are amazing!

We shopped for our groceries today , didn't buy too much but quite a few vegetables that I wanted to make for dinner. My friend Jamie had this lovely dish of vegetables on her facebook page that she was going to roast. I just had to replicate that dish. So I did and roasted them in the oven for dinner. Good!!!
Here is my dish, it looks pretty close to Jamie's.

It tasted really good too.
Here is another picture of what we bought.
Apples are always so pretty as well as so tasty. These are Granny Smiths.
We went to Safeway to buy some Lamb patties , none there so I bought some very frozen lamb hamburger and will make them up tomorrow. I wonder what spices I should put in the lamb.  I looked that up and now I know. I saved it for tomorrow.
It was a lovely day today, the sun was shining, it was warm and beautiful. One of those days to remember.
We were out for a lot of the day and then came home as I get quite tired. I asked the doctor who removed my bladder why I got tired like that and he said You are 81 and that is why you get tired. I sleep well most nights so I guess he is right I am just getting old. Getting? LOL! But Still up there travelling around and doing things I want to do . My mom loved to go out and around too, so did my dad even until he was 86. That is when he passed away.

You know it's hot when you see this. hahaha.
And this....

Even more
So think of these tricks for your animals when it is hot out and you want to help relieve them of their suffering.

Now here is Lucy trying to figure this one out. Not quite as funny as when she was in the chocolate factory.
Our great grandson Adam in Louisiana having out together a circuit package that Uncle Jim in Edmonton had sent him. He looks like he enjoyed the process.

Calgary once more as a local saviour rescues a woman from the floods. So many wonderful people who are rescuing folks in that town.
This one warms my heart.
And that is all for tonight folks.
Have a great evening.
Good night!
