a very rainy day

And the rains came down, and down and down. Did we stay at home?  No. We went out for a while to our local mall and to the market for fruits and veggies. It poured but we are west coasters and do not drown in the rain. As a matter of fact it was a refreshing day. But then I like the rain. It brings back good memories of my childhood when we would go to  Stanley Park for the day. Usually the rain does not come down for the whole day but breaks up around 3:00 PM. Not today . It poured all day. I think it has stopped now though at 6:52.  The plants are  happy with all the rain. The cars on the street are washed clean of all the road dirt so not everyone is unhappy. I love the rain so this kind of a day makes me happy even when I get wet.

We came home and washed all the fruits and veggies and put them in their containers. All the work was done so we just watched TV.
Our life is so quiet.

I need to call Marg and see how her day went. I did but her phone is busy.

Peony

Download now as a pdf pattern

This block is a weird looking peony if you ask me. But then no one has asked me LOL.

A portion of a cat quilt, standard setting.

Pretty butterflies on this quilt. I love butterfly quilts and need to get my own Butterfly blocks organized. They are all sitting on my sewing table. I had forgotten about them.

I like this card LOL.

And the latest Hexagon.
Another hexagon to add to the collection.

Another beauty.

Amazing block, I have one similar that a friend made for me. It is in my roll and I take it out and look at it periodically. Beautiful piece of work.  Sorry no pattern.

Finally folks be kind to our furry friends.

Have a lovely evening.
Good night.
