El Paso

Download now as a pdf pattern to make a block 6 inches

Hi folks. Tonight's block is El  Paso. Ray and I stopped in El Paso one evening while on a driving trip down south. We stopped at a hotel  that was so crowded and noisy you could not even hear yourself think. We did not stay and moved on further down the road. Where did we go?  I do not remember, the only think that sticks in my mind is the crowd and the noise. I just asked Ray and he only recalls the noise and not where we went after leaving that hotel. Oh well not important anyway. However, it is  interesting how the mind works.
We had a hockey trade today. Kevin Bieksa was traded to the Anaheim Ducks. Good luck to him.

Ray and I did go out today for ice cream at Dairy Cream. It was wonderful. The day was hot and sunny just the right kind of day to sit out and eat ice cream. We did not stay out for long as it was really too hot but we did enjoy the time we we were out. I burn so quickly so it makes no sense to spend a lot of time outside in the sun. It is funny because I had black hair when I was young but had fair skin, the Irish combination. My mom was a Scot and my dad an Englishman. Pure Anglo Saxon makes for a burning skin if too much time is spent in the sun.
We stayed home for the rest of the day and put the Air Conditioner on so we were very comfortable. I also had a short nap so am well rested.
Oh we did go to London Drugs as last night my laptop was acting up. We saw a nice white laptop but wanted to check out mine again. It worked just fine today so no new laptop for me. Too bad as I love new things. But I did buy a quilting magazine and two gossip magazines. I see Brad and Angelina are breaking up. Wonder if this is true or just gossip. Too bad if ti is true as they have a passel of kids.
Right now I want to watch NCIS New Orleans so I'll get back to you later.
Much later , it is Canada Day now. We  are watching the ceremonies in Ottawa celebrating the birthday of our Country.
Off to watch and celebrate.

Good morning.
