late

http://janeweston.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/medallion-with-seminole.html

Well two days late,   and the laptop is silly tonight.

Last night the hydro went out for most of the evening and tonight the internet was not working so my blog was undone or not done LOL.  I called Mary in Victoria, my guru of the internet. She is so clever about all that. Thank you my sweet. I was on the phone giving Ray the instructions that Mary gave me and he did what she said, it was what you would call a "joint operation".

But now is the time.... for all good men to come to the aid of their party. I am silly tonight myself.

We had a good  day . First we went out for grocery shopping but we didn't go for coffee today but just came right home. I was not feeling too right so that is why we came home. Ray was not feeling up to scratch either, so both of us rested for the afternoon. We are both laughing right now because we have no idea what we ate for supper if anything. LOL.

We are watching the last of the series on FDR. It has been the most fascinating tale. I remember how sad we all were when FDR passed away close to the end of the war, WW2 I mean. It was a sad day for the world.

FDR and his scottie Fala on a train.
Eleanor Roosevelt carried on the work of FDR and of herself. She was a much loved woman to the public.

Eleanor Roosevelt

If you are interested in her quotations you will enjoy her homespun wisdom.
This  is one I like.  Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, beautiful old people are works of art. She has so many wonderful quotes and many of them are quite funny. Eleanor had a great sense of humour.

Hexagons are my favourite shape. This is a wonderful quilt of hexagons.

Hawaiian quilting is a great example of symmetry. I love the regularity of this quilt.

That is all folks. I hope you had a great evening.

Good night.
