I am caught up now with the Block of the Day.
Neat block Paths and Stiles , see Janet Wickell About.com for the pattern. this block is lovely with the chintz type fabric.
I went to Seasons up on Little Mountain for lunch today with Karen and Heather two old friends. We have been friends since the 60s for Heather and the 70s for Karen. It was such a lot of fun and they treated me to lunch. Thank you dear friends. Good and old friends are so valuable and wonderful.
Karen on the left, Heather on the right.
We had great conversations. Karen and I taught together and every morning we would have a music class. Karen would play the violin and I would play the piano, the kids would sing.
It was such a beautiful way to start the day. Heather and I lived together at one time and we have been great friends ever since. She bought my mom and dad's house after they passed on so I am invited to visit the house whenever I want. LOL.
.
I forgot my keys so when we got home and I found out that I left my keys in another purse Karen stayed with me and we chatted some more out in the breezeway . Ray heard us talking when he got to the third floor, the window was open so he came downstairs again. He let me in. It was another beautiful day so staying outside was no hardship.
Marg came over after we got home and she brought some chili for us to eat. Thanks dear sister. She also brought the mail over since it goes to her apartment since the fire. Another thanks!
Rick called and we had a long talk. Sometimes he needs to vent. I think if I were in his place I would need to vent all the time. He is still in Toronto with Katie and today he planned to visit with Chelsea. I think he is having a nice time. As the doctor told him have fun while you can, time is short.
Peter and Judith are in San Francisco right now, Rick is in Toronto, Jim is still in Edmonton but that is not here so he is away LOL. I get the feeling that I want to go away too.
Time's up folks.
Have a great evening.
Good night.
