Life is slow these days, dog days of summer . Today it rained and it is chilly. After all the sunshine I guess I am getting weakened to the rain, whatever that says LOL.
We went outdoors in our summer shirtsleeves and it was cold as well as wet. Fortunately we just went from the car to the shop where we bought vegetables. But in the rain you just get wet even though it may be a short distance. We wanted to go to Tim's for a coffee but the line up was outside the door. We don't do line ups LOL so we went across the street to Starbucks which was pretty empty , no line up. We sat comfortably at a table and drank our coffee,  better than lining up at Tim's.
It was the kind of day  to stay in and read or watch TV. So that is what we did, I read, Ray watched TV.
We are watching Murdoch and it is taking place during an opera La Traviata I believe.. It has been a long time since  I heard any opera. When i was young it was an important part of my life and of my friends lives. We were very into music and opera was a large part of that. I had a good friend who took lessons on singing opera. We would sing around her piano and do the same at my house. At one time we had two pianos, big house LOL, one in each main room on the first floor.  One was supposed to be a dining room and the other a living room , both the same size. One of the pianos was ours and the other was being stored by my parents for a friend. The friend had intended to come for her piano but was not able to do so. However my mom and dad went ahead and bought a piano for me on the expected  departure of  the friend's
 piano. So we had two.

How wonderful , a basket full of love.

It speaks for itself.

Time to go folks.

Have a great evening.
Good night.
