Sunday at home.

We had a quiet day at home. It was great since we are so often running around every day. Ray did some cleaning up, I did some laundry and SEWING believe it or not. I had time because we were home. There were some blocks in the drawer that needed finishing , all the pieces were cut and pinned so sewing was what had to be done. I did all the corners and then cut out the middle triangle on the corners. It took me some time but I was happy to be working on my blocks and accomplishing something. All that needs to be done now is to cut some sashing, sew it on and put the blocks all together to finish the top. Then of course adding the batting , backing and  binding. Not much at all LOL.

Here are a couple of pictures of the blocks.

Here's the pile.
And two more.
You can see I took these pictures on my lap. It was after I had cooked dinner and I was so tired and my legs were available. I had a happy time with my sewing.
My next move it to square them all up so they are the same size. They are pretty close but a little snip here and there will do the job correctly.

Dinner was pork chops, rice and mushroom soup with fried mushrooms lots of garlic. I boiled potatoes too but they are for tomorrow. There is enough meant left for tomorrow's dinner. I done good !! LOL.  No photo , we were too hungry to take pictures.
I see the Japanese are beginning to clean up the mess at Fukushima where the radiation from the earthquake 2 years ago is flowing into the ocean and I am afraid it will be like the debris that comes ashore here and all along the west coast of North America. How to clean it up is a question. I think it is too late.  There is already pollution from the water tanks that are leaking into the Pacific Ocean.

Smiles all around
Kitty and girly are both enjoying the day and each other.

Martha Stewart shows how to peel garlic. Looks great, try it!

Block of the Day..... Baby Basket. It is a lovely little basket for a baby quilt.

We had some lovely hard rain today, the trees were very happy and the clatter of rain on the leaves is always a  happy sound to me.

There I managed to change the colour back to black and bold back to normal haha.

What a perfect family picture out for a morning stroll. I imagine that elephants stroll but I do know they can rumble. I checked and the can run sort of. But you had better get out of their way I fancy they cannot stop quickly LOL.
Now here is another family out for a Sunday walk.

Smaller family , a pair and one solitaire. I know they can run and fast! That little one is so cute, I can hardly see him. Or her.

I rather liked this little one peeping out from under mom's feathers.

That's all for now.
Have a lovely evening , it is beautiful here.
Good night!
