A visit with Prince Charles

Some very exciting news from Adam my eldest son and Lisa his wife in Scotland.  They had a conversation with Prince Charles.
Prince Charles passing by , that is Adam on the left of the photo, The Prince stopped and spoke with him. I love the plaid of Prince Charles's kilt. It is very attractive.

: To the lady next to us in passing says, "Oh, a ruination of the camera there I see". A: "Hello your Highness" HRH: Breezes past her and offers his hand to Adam.
A: While shaking hands, "Congratulations on becoming a grandfather."
HRH: Beaming, says, "Oh, you heard the news, have you?" He offered his hand to me. L: "Pleased to meet you, sir" as we shook hands. HRH: "Are you here visiting?" A: "Yes." HRH: "Where are you from?" A: (The ever loyal subject to the crown) "Canada." L: I guess I was startled by Adam's answer because I turned and looked at Adam quickly. HRH: Raises an eyebrow and looks at me quizzically and then turns back to Adam and says, "Where in Canada?" (I guess he didn't think I sounded Canadian...) A: "Vancouver." HRH: "A lovely part of the world, but it's a long flight." A: "My people are from here as are yours." HRH: "Here, this far north?" A: "No, not in this area, but from Scotland." HRH: "Have you been here before?" A: "Yes, but not this far north." HRH: Turning to me, asks, "How long are you here for? L: "A month". HRH: "Enjoy the rest of your trip." It would be a mundane conversation if it hadn't been with the heir to the throne, The Future King of England. I'm still grinning like an idiot....

Our excitement at Adam's visit with Prince Charles has started to abate. It was a very nice encounter for him and Lisa.

As for mom and dad we did almost nothing today except for laundry and I made chili for dinner. It was tasty but Ray said not quite hot enough. I made it to my taste but he likes it hotter that I do. I guess he could add those chili flakes to his bowl of chili. One thing is you can add to a dish but you cannot take anything away.
I never thought to add shredded cheese to my chili. I do add sour cream though and that is nice.
I should go into the kitchen and get the chili ready for the fridge.
Done!
Now I am eating radishes, my treat. Well I do like ice cream too LOL.

Love comes in all shapes and sizes. This is such a picture of love and caring, at least to me. But then I am a sucker for sentimentality.

This quilt is made from commercially cut 2 1/2 strips.  They go together so well. I think that it takes 2 jelly roll packages to make it.

Here is another of those lovely hexagons, I like this orange one with sunflowers in the centre.

I have done a number of stitcheries. This is one of them. It is a cross stitch. It is a wedding stitchery . You can see the double wedding ring quilt
 in the background.

That is all for tonight.
Have a lovely evening.
Good night from the Big Apple. LOL.
