at the fabric store

Ray took me to Fabricana today. I wanted some Hallowe'en fabrics, well one holiday fabric and some red and yellow.
Ann was there and she gave me such a big hug. It was good to see her looking so well. We had a little chat. She had gone to Joann's because in her line of business she see many quilters and they talked about Joann's. So she wanted to see what the noise was all about. Now think about it she works on a store that sells pretty decent fabric. So needless to say she was a bit disappointed in Joann's fabrics.  They do have a huge selection of goods but Fabricana has all you might need too.And no line ups at the border.
Sounds good to me. We went there once on our way home from a visit to the states and they did not have what I wanted . I wanted a template of some kind. I bought no fabric.
This is the fabric I bought today and also I bought some Thermore for the batting part of my table runner. I like that because it is  very thin and lays flat  on the table.

The fabric on the right is from the Hallowe'en collection. The others are not as if you needed me to tell you that LOL.

On the way home from  Fabricana we got lost again. What is it ,

you just miss one  Exit and you are lost forever. We missed two

exits but got to New Westminster and found our way home from

there LOL. We had to go for bread and I had a little conversation

with a man at the lottery booth who told me his mom had left him

$80.000 and none to her other children because he was the one who

took care of her in her old age and the others did nothing.

Amazing what people will tell you isn't it.

I called Marg tonight and she said she and Mona went to the PNE

yesterday as it was free to Seniors. She said it was not that exciting

 this year.

I found this barn quilt on the net and thought you might enjoy seeing this.  I like barns.

Evening Star , today's Block of the Day.

Cats love to be in a sewing mood. Many people tell me their cats get in the mood to sew by sticking their heads into the machine.

My lovely grand daughter Kate out for a day in the park with a friend. She is Rick's daughter, lives and goes to University in Toronto. She is working on her Masters at the university of Toronto.
I am reading a new book about a man who discovers that his grandad was in the SS during WW2. He decides to go on a hunt for more information about his grandfather. It is very interesting , I am just into it do far.
Little bean bags, aren't they cute. I think they could be made without instructions. What they are for is beyond me LOL.

Out for a walk with a friend. Once again I see a horse as a good friend.

Two homeless dogs looking for a loving home. I hope they find one soon.

Time to go folks.
Have a good evening.
