Cameras

Cameras. I wonder if there are any classes to learn how you use a camera more effectively. London Drugs may have classes.  My photos are not what I would like them to be. That will be my next search, to see if they have classes. I really need one since I am not  able to download the photos I took last night. They are on the camera not the little card.
Speaking if classes ,embroidery class is on Tuesday evening next. It is about embossed letters. I noted that there are a lot of  patterns to add to my memory stick. I realized there were 26 patterns. 26 characters? What could that be.LOL  I do not think it is necessary to add them all to my stick. Maybe 4 might be enough, I wonder if we are doing words or just letters. Maybe Kathy might know. We will be adding the embossed letters to a towel.

Last night was wonderful. We had an excellent speaker who showed us many beautiful and wonderful quilts. They are the one on my camera that I cannot get off.  I'll run down to London Drugs tomorrow and see what it is I have forgotten to do. :((
It has been some time since I had to do the download this way.

Kathy, Judy and Barb and I went for dinner last night before guild. They had ling cod on the menu. It is my favourite cod and is hard to find, mostly they had been pretty well fished out according to Ray. I know Adam and Lisa caught some though on their last trip up here in August.
Lisa and the big fish.

After dinner we went along to guild,as we were early there was lots of time to visit. That was fun too. All in all a great evening .
Diane ,  one of my Tuesday friends made a lovely block for Richard's quilt that my on line group is making for him. I have such great caring friends.

Today after fasting over night I had some blood tests taken and one other test. My doctor got them almost immediately since her office called this afternoon and said the doctor wanted to see me but not to worry as it was not serious. So I am going to see her next Thursday. I wonder if the H Pylori drugs worked well.  Oh well I'll see next week.
Then we went to McDonald's for a sausage and egg McMuffin.  We are always too late for one of those breakfast sandwiches and I recall for my teaching days taking Sam there for a treat ,that they were very good. And my memory is good on that point. LOL.

We went to Metrotown to Chapters . I wanted the latest Ken Follett book Winter of the World, the second in a trilogy of the last century. I read the first novel and am so looking forward to this one. However it is not yet in soft cover and I rarely buy hard cover books, too expensive. In the library this book is on Fast Read which is it can only be taken out for one week. I don't think I can read it that fast , it is too big.
This part of the trilogy takes place during the second world war .  where there are mixed families of English and German descent . You can see how that would be a huge problem. Try out the first book, The Fall of Giants. Follett is a wonderful writer.
I read Pillars of the World many years ago , it was about building the cathedrals in Europe in the 12th Century. I highly recommend it.
We had to pick up some prescriptions at Safeway . There is a Starbucks in the store so we had a coffee. The lady in starbucks always is so nice and delivers our coffee to the table.
By then we were finished with our visits/trips amd went home.
I had a bad headache so I went to lay down until it cleared up.
I made spaghetti for dinner, but with a Paul Newman sauce as Ray still has to make his own wonderful sauce which is better than any I have ever had.
Dashing through the snow. Beautful creatures and Ray's absolute favourites. He love the big horses. He worked with them in the woods many years ago. There was no big machinery in those days. He learned to love the Clydesdales.

Download now as a pdf pattern
Quilt Pro Block of the Day.

The last of the hearts, who knew there were so many different pieced hearts , we didn't even get to the applique hearts. Maybe that was a good thing LOL.
Great idea and very colourful as well.

Time to go folks , thanks for reading.
Have a great evening.
