Littel hand warmers made from scraps, good items for you who live in winter.
We went on our way to track out the path to Betty's so that Ray knows where to pick me up on Tuesdays. It was so busy on Marine Drive and really backed up. When we came back it was even worse but not on the side of the street we were on thank goodness.
We had to go to the post office to mail a package, the one with the block of a sailboat then to the bank to get some money for the week. We went to the bakery for bread and into the grocery store to check things out. That was our busy day and we came home. Not a lot of happening here this day.
Richard sent me two articles on ALS, one written by Stephen Hocking and the other about and young girl in her teens with familial ALS. It was incredibley sad and incredibly uplifting.

Most people know about Stephen Hocking and his struggle with ALS but this article shines a light on his life. There were many things I did not know so this was an interesting read.

Both these people were and are very courageous.
Tonight I am going to do a bit of cutting right after I finish my blog. It is early still and I have the energy.
Ray and I had separate salads for dinner, mine was lettuce and all the usual ingredients and Ray's was that curly lettuce, endive ,which I don't like and he loves .
Block of the day...

Here you are a boot for your foot. Good one if you are making a western quilt. Now you need a hat. I'll see if I can find one.
No luck but when I made mine I just cut a paper section, folded it in half and cut out on one side which I had drawn on the paper.
I am not able to show the picture as it has not made itself available LOL.
Time for the owls.
This adorable owl is crocheted so if you like to crochet see if you can find this pattern. And let me know :))
He looks like a Sawhet to me. I had a friend who used to take in injured raptors so I was able to see this little guy up close. He is the cutest little bird and so small.
A snowy owl sitting on a branch. We saw one of these sitting on a fence post on one of our driving trips to Quebec. It was a wonderful sight and he just sat there and stared. Beautiful bird.
Cranks were very popular in those days. The Model T Ford had one and my dad had a Modle T . I remember having to crank to get it started. Hard work for a kid. My dad had to take over and I sat inside and pulled the throttle
.
Time to go folks.
Have a great evening.
Good Night.
