lots of blocks

Some great blocks at Starwood Quilter, the Persian Pickle Club.
There are too many to put up here but I am sure you would like these blocks.
If you have not read The Persian Pickle Club then take the time to read this wonderful quilting novel. It was the first one I read and then went on to Jennifer Chiaverini's Elm Creek Quilters. They are more great reading.I see she has written a novel about Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker. I would love to read this one and will try the library, maybe Amazon.
Amazon has it but I'll try the library tomorrow. I need to learn how to use the online system so I can book books LOL.
You may know this but you can go onto Amazon and read a few pages of this book to see if it might interest you.

Sewing day today.

The morning was a lot of good times with Betty Lu showing one of the two Baltimore Album quilts she is making. This one is just getting the binding done and it will be going to her long time friend in Virginia. It is pertinent to the life of her friend. Betty Lu is an amazing quilter, her work is creative, original and beautiful. She is a ribbon winning quilter and has had her quilts shown in major magazines. We, at the group ,are constantly amazed at her wonderful quilts.
Betty Lu and her masterpiece.

Another view.

I just worked on my last butterfly appliqueing the second to last piece. I started this one before I went into the hospital for the year 2011 and did not work on it that year, not that much last year but now I am close to the end.

When I got home  Ray was still out but he came home shortly after. He was expecting to have to pick me up at Betty's but he was off the hook today.
I took to my bed for a while to read my book about a Christian cult gone wrong. So far it is fairly predictable , I hope it picks up soon. Marg did you find this book slow at the start?

We had perogies for dinner with bacon , onion and celery. It was good. Mosty we cook only foods that are good . Who would cook a bad meal? Maybe that is why folks stick to the tried and true when cooking.
However I sometimes like to try a new recipe. I especially like to use my slow cooker but don't do it too often because I forget to take things out of the freezer.
This one makes me laugh because it is true, I usually choose pictures that make me laugh and this one hit the spot. LOL

Do you think this one falls into the LOL category. I think it is  hilarious haha.

Download now as a pdf pattern
Basket puzzle is a nice looking block, it would look good in blue, red and white, or yellow and black. Just a thought LOL.

Time to go.
Have a lovely evening folks.
Good night.
