heart to heart

It was a beautiful day to day , the sun was out and it was seasonally warm. I felt really good and have since I finished the regime of antibiotics. I wonder if carrying that infection around in my stomach made me feel tired. I am my old self again. Now if Ray could just get better. Coming March he will get his back fixed.

I downloaded some knitting items to make. Worth a look. You may have to register I'm not sure about that.

Another great lady speaks with a great sense of humout. I remember Elinor Roosevelt from her activities during the war.

I had a rose named after me and I was very flattered. But I was not pleased to read the description in the catalogue: - "No good in a bed, but fine against a wall."
- Eleanor Roosevelt

Haha....
So we decided to go to the mall and the place where we get cinnamon buns and coffee. It always amazes me the the ladies there always remember us and know what we order despite the fact that we do not go there often. Nice ladies.  One of them takes our order to the table and arranges to place my walker conveniently and they even bring the cream to the table and add it to the coffee. Do I leave a tip? You bet I do. These ladies are Asian and don't tell me they are not wonderful citizens.

We then went to Super Store. We have not shopped there before but since our regular store closed we are trying out different grocery stores.  It was interesting as there were different products in that store. We did buy s few things. I bought a book, 25% off, and we went to the meat counter to see id there was somehitng that was not beef as Ray thinks it is the cause of his Gout episode. We did find some pork which we like and some hot Italian sausages that we have not had for some time. We had not intended to grocery shop and that was all we bought. Ray and I think we will go back.
We came home and did a bit of work and got ready to make dinner. I put on the water for pasta and took the chili out of the fridge to heat it up  for Ray who took another chance LOL.
I had pasta bows and cooked up some prawns in butter with chopped garlic in the frying pan. I served them over the pasta with the butter I used to cook them , a bit of chopped green onion, and  Parmisan cheese. I have to tell you it was delicious. I offered Ray some of the prawns but he said no because he doesn't like seafood. Well I loved it :).
Richard has to buy a electric wheel chair at a cost of $5000. It is a very expensive disease and at some point he will need help. He needs to keep as much of his money as possible for future needs.
Ray just talked to Leo , the husband of his sister who died last year, He likes to keep in touch with him and Leo likes it too.
Another neat owl turning his head to watch for mice. He is a beauty.

This is darling . All mothers love their children. I think the baby is adorable as are all babies wouldn't you say.

What a great rooster. When I was on the farm I used to feed the chickens and gather the eggs. It was a good time for me. But one day my aunt said we are having fried chicken tonight and sent the boys out to do the deed. I was horrified when I saw them cut the heads off the chickens and then when the chickens kept running without their heads I nearly passed out. So that is where the saying that goes running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Very graphic and to the point.  I did eat that fried chicken though because it was absolutely delicious, I have never tasted chicken like that again.
Those chickens grubbed for food on the ground and ate the grain my aunt fed them , they were free range chickens and I think that is what is missing in the chickens at the SuperMarkets today.

Rose again, she is so adorable and what a sideways glance on this photo. She is happy and that is good. I wonder what that big rose is....
Look at the booties and the sweater plus the little pink cap. This is so cute and I think I staged it before on my blog but I passed by it while searching in my photos and thought it would be a good opportunity to share it again.
Have a great evening.
Have a look at Richard's blog. Thank you.
