Album Star  - an eye catching star block.

A day of things to do.  Bank, clinic, map, lunch ,visit.
Start with the bank. we have received a bill from Master Card that was very high. I had made a payment using telephone banking and the MC did not get that payment. So we went to the bank to see if that amount had been takne from our account . It hadn't so there must have been an error in the transaction. Now I can make the payment. The bank was good about helping us.
Next I had to take a test to the clinic.
We had lunch at Subway . Subway had a sale on , one 6 inch sandwixh and a bowl of soup for $5.00 . Good deal. I had that, it was good. Ray just had the sandwich.
Marg came over for a visit and we chatted for over an hour. Marg goes to St. Mary's Anglican church. The old time churches are having a hard time staying open and current. So the congregations have been getting smaller. Marg says her church has only about 25
congregants now. The Catholic church suffers from the same issues.  How to get the members to come back. I think that they need to consolidate as there are a number of small church that fit with another time when they were the only games in town except for Baptists . Times change and people need to change with the times. It is sad but I am complicit  in this since I no longer attend church. One minister told Marg that those of her age were more likely to attend church than people of my age who were actually hounded out of the church by the doctrine of evil. Too bad.

Moving on.... I just have to put this on the page. Lillian Carter, Jimmy Carter's mom said sometimes when I look at my children I say to myself : Lillian  you should have remained a virgin.
She gave me a good laugh and she must have been a woman I would have liked.

Machine quilting tips for those who need them. I hope youa re not offended by the title of the book LOL.

Machine Quilting Tips and Tricks - For Dummies

 http://simplycraftyblog.blogspot.ca/2011/01/valentine-blocks.html

I thought this was interesting, it uses one of the Cricut machines to make a Valentine block.  I have not seen this machine in action but it looks like a good deal.

This is an amazing picture such a tiny baby and such a big mom.

I love Autumn photos, they are so full of deep colour  and fantastic trees.

Cheeky little face isn't it. Look at those wobbly legs . I do love the face though.
Not too big a blog tonight.
Time to go.
Have a great evening.
Good night.
