Another great issue of Grandmother's Choice.  I learned something new from this site, fascinating stuff in every issue. It is really worthwhile.

This is beautiful, no time to get it done for this Valentine's Day but you have lots of time for next Valentine's.  haha.

Bachelor Puzzle and here I thought a Bachelor puzzle was a spinster.

We did not go out today. Ray continued his efforts to get the kitchen unstuck. And on it goes but tonight it seems to be a lot better. Never drop and bottle of pickles on your floor. It takes days to get things fixed.
So all we did was laundry  . Tomorrow our cleaning lady comes so no point in housecleaning today.
I worked on my guild blocks, I had to draw diagonal lines on the squares , pin them all together  and then sew the smaller blocks on the corners of the larger blocks, before sewing the all together into rows and the sew the rows. I got to the pinning stage today. Oh I am such a slowpoke. Well I did have a nap and Rick called , we talked for some time. His condition is down again and he cannot lift his leg into his truck and needs help to get it lifted. My heart bleeds for him. My poor boy. He has always been so independent. He cares for all of us here and now he is far away and we are of no help to him.
Matthew had a great review in the local newspaper about the opening of his new radio station. This is his 4th station. The first three are in small communities but the latest one  is in a more urban city. Congratulations Matthew.
My tool bar from the bottom of the laptop decided to go up the side and I can't get it to go down. This has happened before and Rick fixed it for me but I don't know what to do with it. I'll just have to wait until he comes on the 21st.
We are watching the tale of Highclere Castle where Downton Abbey takes place. Fascinating look at the way the rich and famous live today and in former times. It has a wonderful historical viewpoint as well. The Earl of Carnarvon is high up on the heirarchy of the British Royal establishment, just one cut below a Duke which is the highest rank of the noblility . The Queen's son Andrew is a Duke and her son Edward is an Earl. Of course Charles is a Prince. Her daughter Princess Anne is also the Princess Royal.
Anyway it is a lovely episode of a beautiful castle.
Next is Downton Abbey. A good evening of TV viewing.

A warning. Do be careful when you are cutting thread with a pair of thread snips. Keep your hand out of the way or you will cut it. Hmm I should have heeded this warning today when I cut my hand with the snips.

I got a kick out of this one.

Male and female cardinals sitting out the winter.

Aha a new friend for Bambi.

Dancing in the snow.It reminds me of the Lipizanner horses of Austria. Ray and I once went to see them when they were here in Vancouver , along time ago. It was an amazing experience.

Rose at the aquarium, she seems  enthralled at the exotic sights. Lovely outfit. Mary dresses her so beautifully.

Time to go.
Have a great evening folks.
Good night.
