finally

This morning we watched a second episode of Rockford Files and at the end it said To Be Continued. That would make episode 3. I don't like those serial shows as there is always a tendency of the channel directors to not have them run together.

Block of the Day Quilt Pro.
Download now as a pdf pattern

Anvil, a great pieced block and wonderful colours. I notice that the top left and bottom right corners have the same light fabric and the right top and left bottom also have the same fabric but different from the other two corners.

Yesterday I started to make a mug rug for Ray and discovered that the file was corrupt and so the rug was done.  Not a good one. Today I tried another one of that set and noted that it was fine now that I know what to look for. But the instructions  were sparse and not easy to follow. Even for the second time I did it wrong but was able to rescue it. I am thinking of writing to the designer to let her know how difficult it was to make it right. One thing I did that I won't do again was put a clear stabilizer over the top. It does not need that on a smooth fabric.
So here it is , Ray's Valentine mug rug.

The set has 10 different looks- all froggy though.
This takes a couple of hours to complete the project but I love doing it. Still time to do some more before the 14th. LOL.
I started it in the morning and paused the machine while we went to the dentist for Ray to have his bridge checked. Then when we came back I just started the machine again. Another new thing to have learned and that will make it a lot easier to manage an embroidery.

I still have some blocks to do for guild and that is next Wednesday so I had better get on it. Tomorrow afternoon should be a good time.
Finally finished my orange dishcloth. It is such a pretty colour. I need to take a picture, tomorrow.

After the dentist , we had to wait for a while, we went to Metrotown for a coffee. Ray had a doughnut and I had one of Tim's grilled panini that have been advertised-ham and cheese. How can they screw that up but it was not good and I just threw it out. It was disappointing. The cheese wasn't good and the ham was very thin plus it had some kind of mayonnaise on it.
Richard called to day as he does every day but it was a short call as he and Ricky were going to dinner and to a movie. I'm glad they are having some fun.
I would like to see A Royal Affair, an affair between the Queen of Denmark and her husband's physician . Her husband King Christian VII was insane . A good premise for the start of the movie and it is rated 4 stars. It is at the International Village Cinemas but no time is listed. I wonder why?

Pictures
Elephant play, they look as if there is a smile on their faces. How can I think elephants are cute and lovable. Strange vision LOL.

I love these sewing sayings. I found severl of them today but might save them for other days.
Now there's a bed piled high with quilts. It looks so comfy. I pile quilts on my bed too but just two as it is not very cold here in Vancouver . This photo makes me want to go to bed LOL.

-more cuddles under quilts. Nice quilt and adorable  pups.

Haha another way to rest but not nearly as compfortable. I actually think this is rather cruel , it muct be hard on these puppies to hang around like this.

And buried you for all your hassling. LOL.
It is  time to go folks.
Have a great evening!
Good night.
