BACK TO NORMAL

Whew it was a very busy but great weekend. On Saturday we went to the casino in Coquitlam where we haven't been for a long time. Ray was very lucky and won over $600 And I came home with $170, so it was a successful play. That doesn't
happen too often. Ray had generously given me $100 to play with. He is always very generous with me.

Today is Thanksgiving Day and there is no newspaper this morning as it is a holiday.  Most of our statutary holidays are on Monday and generally celebrated on Sunday. Why ? I don't know. But we did celebrate on Sunday . We had a lovely turkey dinner with all the trimmings at Matthew and Caroline's. It was a wonderful dinner, both of the are good cooks so it makes for a great team. I love a turkey dinner, who doesn't? LOL.
Our grandson Ryan was there. He is home now and going to UBC taking medicine. He loves it as you can see by the light in his eyes when we discuss his courses. Last year he had to go to University in Kelowna to do the prerequisites for his doctorate. He is a very, charming, clever young man.  We enjoyed visiting with him.
The turkey was perfect as were the mashed potatoes and a beautiful plate of fresh mixed vegetables. Caroline made two pies, pumpkin and apple. We ate them with whipped cream. MMM
Our thanks to Caroline and Matthew for a wonderful Day.
Isn't this a beautiful turkey and the lovely mixed vegetables are on the right.

Here is our handsome Ryan.
Chelsea is in Toronto where she is going to university. Here she is . I took a picture of a picture to get this photo.
She sat right behind the Thanksgiving table so this is how she joined us.

Ryan in his official doctor lab coat.
Lovely photo thanks to his mom Caroline.

On the way home we passed by the Richmond casino , haven't been there for ages either so we stopped in for a short time. Again I was winning but Ray wasn't  So I gave him my winnings after taking out my seed money. We weren't  there for long.
My back and feet were so painful I could hardly bear it so when I got home I went right to bed. Took some painkillers and fell asleep which is why is why this blog is being written this morning.

Today is the day for Lynn our cleaning lady to come. I called her yesterday to see if she will be here and she will. That means I have to stay in and Ray gets to go out. I don't mind that as I have something I want to do.

What a lovely face, I
would like to have him for a friend. I do
have a doggie friend here on my floor . She always begins to bark as we go down the hall but when I talk to her she just listens so we
have a one sided conversation. LOL.

This is cute summer quilt top was  made by Judy .

Little Waves is the name of this block.

Now that my Halloween table topper is done, I have to come up with another idea for quilting. That is after I do the pinwheel blocks for the guild. That is my immediate quilting task.

Hmm these cats will sleep anywhere even in an oven.

Leaning over the second floor. Albert, Charlotte and Rose. All the children who come here love to look down on us.
That's it folks, Ray wants me to clean off the table before Lynn comes to clean, so we are the Archetype of those who clean up before the cleaner comes LOL>
Tonight!
