day out

We had lunch out today with Bob and Buzz. Bob as you know has been in hospital but is now back home. He looks good. However he was telling us he has had Poly Myalgia Rheumatica. Remember that Ray had that quite a few years ago.  He had to go to a specialist to finally get it diagnosed and treated. It is a very painful disease so I feel sympathy for Bob and am glad he is on the steroids which is the only way to treat this disease. As usual we all had a great time together.
Always laughing, that's our Bob. He is looking good isn't he.
And Buzz is looking good too.

I did not eat much just a bowl of soup, When I
am not quite up to scratch I am not hungry. Probably a good thing LOL. Now to see if I have lost any weight. That would be a miracle.
Here I am all dressed up for a bowl of soup.
Too much sun shining in the camera lens.

We came home from lunch and all I did was read my e mail and Facebook. I am getting so lazy these days but hey I am still a bit sick as I went to bed after reading. The nap was short but refreshing.  I love to lay down and read my books or my e reader. As the TV is usually on for Ray I have to go to another room to read.

We are having a huge scandal in Ottawa and it has reached the Prime Minister who has been accused of knowing that money had been transferred  from his office to one of the Senators. It was not right to do that and the whole thing involving three senators, a member of the PM's staff and what the Prime Minister actually knew. It remains to be seen what will happen.  I would hate for the PM to be involved in this scandal as he is a good Prime Minister and there is no one who could take his place and do as good a job as he has done. He has kept the nation on an even keel throughout some difficult times. There that is my political statement, I don't often express these opinions.

It must be getting close to Christmas since this was the Block of the Day this morning.
