Sew busy

Isn't it amazing that a 9 year old boy could sneak onto a plane and end up in Las Vegas. So  much for  safety precautions, not that the boy could be a cause of unsafe conditions, but it is something peculiar. His parents  must have been out of their minds with worry.

I have been so worn out today , doing too much I guess. But I told Ray I was not going out today and I sewed for quite a while. I sewed all around the edges of my quilt before I added the binding. I do that so the edges stay firm when I sew on the binding. When I get to the end of the binding I am not able to make the ending nice so I'll see if anyone at Mary Alice's will do it for me.  I hope so or I'll have to get someone somewhere else to do it for me. I have tried many times and it does not work well.  After that is done I can begin to sew the binding down.

Then I worked on another of the star blocks for the guild but didn;t get it done either. All the parts are ready to go together though.

Marg came over with a book and we talked for a while. I finished knitting another dishcloth for my stash of cloths while we talked. I don't have to look when I am knitting them.

Jim called , we had a long talk. He and I do that some times. It is great. We have had lots to talk about as he and I have travelled together many times to many places. That often comes into our conversations. We know people together, mostly his friends in Edmonton. And of course there is always family to discuss. He is talking about taking a road trip with Richard to the Florida Keys. Rick wants to do that trip. It will be great for him and he is courageous enough to do it.

Peter has to go back to Calgary this week to give a PM class. Funny, he just left there this weekend. LOL.

Block of the Day

Download now as a pdf pattern

The block is called Hourglass, I have seen another block called Hourglass but this one is rather nice.

Here is a very happy dog, we should all be so happy. Ah it's a dog's life.

From happy to grumpy . Wouldn't you like to wake up to that face every morning.

Hey there get out of my way.

1'm  looking for somebody to bite. Haha.

These are such pretty , original leaves. The quilting is so even. A good idea for a different way to do your leaves.

more happy , cheerful  critters. LOL.
And I am going to stop now folks,
I am very tired,  it seems I am like that often. Maybe it is because I write my blog in the evening.
Good night.
