wonderful day

http://www.craftbyphoto.com/sweatshirt-pet-bed/
Now this looks like a great idea to me. Take care of your dog and make him comfortable.

Once again I have a sore eye and using this laptop seems to exacerbate it. I may be slow in writing my blog tonight.
We had a lovely visit with Sam at ABC restaurant. that was a wonderful start to our day. Neither Ray and I were very hungry and Sam only had coffee but , I had some bacon and coffee and Ray had a sandwich with salad. I ate his salad. Poor Ray he has to give up so much to live with me LOL.

Sam is a great conversationalist and he was telling us about the jobs he has at the moment. He is a natural salesman and is giving lessons on how to close a sale to another businessman's business staff along with his regular job. He is a busy man.

After that we went to Brentwood. I have been  wanting to go there for a while to have a look at Tan Jay to see if there was anything I liked in the winter line. No there wasn't so I did not spend any money there.  We went up stairs to have a coffee and then walk around that floor. On the way back we had some Thai curry chicken and rice. We bought one plate and shared it. It was really good.

We came home and I did  not have a nap. Amazing. I worked on a piece of crocheting that I am doing. Man do I find the directions very hard to follow. I undid it quite a few times and finally set it aside. I think I got two rounds done finally. Then I worked on my knitting  for a bit. I read my e mail and facebook.
I boiled some eggs to make egg salad for my sandwich tomorrow when I go to my sewing groups. That is is for my day, it was a good one.
Who doesn't want five more minutes. See how his little paws are turned up as if trying to stop whatever is coming his way.

If baskets are your thing here is one, not really my thing I prefer pieced or appliqued blocks.

Mary put this advertisement on Facebook . It is an exciting poster for an Enchanted Evening  at Heritage acres in or around Victoria B.C. possibly in Saanich.

Am I correct in assuming October 31 is the date for this evening.

The leaves are falling all around . It is not raining here yet nor has it rained for a long time. We have had many foggy days though. But winter will soon be upon us.

I so laughed when I saw this one LOL.

These blue footed Boobys are so hilarious. If you have not seen them dance with their blue feet .http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue-footed_Booby

This is a good place to view some photos of these delightful birds and to read up on them is you are interested.

Some easy coasters to make for the upcoming season when there are many folks around eating and drinking.

Time for me to go. Have a great evening folks.
Good night.
