changing sheets

Garden Block.

Rick and Katie are coming in tonight through the ice and snow. So Ray and I are changing sheets so the bed will be nice and clean and cozy. I am praying they will be safe coming in on the Coquihalla Highway.  It is not always the best highway to travel on in the winter. It goes through the mountains for a long way .

I just called and they are in Kamloops just heading into the Coke as it is called by those in the know. He said they would be careful. It is really slow going as I saw on the news.

That is better than fast.Rick said he would call when they were through the Coquihalla.
I am so excited to see them all.

I had to go to the chiropractor this morning after which we met Bob and Buzz for lunch We spent over two hours chatting and eating. It was a great visit. We talked about our travels both together and not together  LOL. I would love to go on a trip with them but with my health problems it is not really a good idea to travel too far into the USA .
So after lunch we shopped around some and bought a few things such as shoes for Charlotte I had to call Mary when we got home to see what size Rose wears and she wears the same size as Charlotte unless of course Charlotte's feet have grown since I last asked her mom what size she wore. I'll ask her tonight. I bought a purse, black and it was buy one get one for half price so I got two. I think I am going to need a closet just for my purses. Haha.

Have a look at this great Christmas card that Lisa my DIL sent us this week.
I love this one.
Thanks Lisa and Adam. It is special. I plan to keep it.

We have the bed all ready for Richard, clean sheets, all made up.
Now all we need is that he gets here tonight.

A Christmas tree that is wearing a string of lights for the holidays. How clever of this quilter. And it is just squares and half square triangles. You can make it any size you wish.

At first I thought this was a tea cozy as I made one this shape, but on reflection I noticed that cosmetics coming out of the bag.  These are very pretty bags and simple to make.

Chelsea is home for Christmas and she had this photo taken of her family. Matthew on the left, Ryan on the right and Caroline and Chelsea in the middle. It is a lovely family portrait.

A simple area for sewing and stitching. Pleasant little space isn't it.

Another sewing space and a skirt to   hold a scrap threads sack and places for your sewing items such as scissors.

A mug rug.

and finally  Old Saint Nicholas sewing up a storm on Christmas Eve.
Have a lovely evening folks.
Good night.
