I am sure no one really needs a tutorial to make this neat pincushion but here is one anyway. I have a little one made for me by a friend that I use and keep in my applique box. Yes I have an applique box LOL. Mine is just a 4 square while this one is a 9 patch.

I made a similar block for my Christmas quilt.

I went to see Dr. Bondy at St. Paul's this afternoon. The appointment was at 2:00 so we drove home in the beginning of rush hour traffic. It wasn't that bad though and we got back home fine.
He was pleased with the tests I had taken yesterday. So it was a good visit and I don't go back for a year, next December to be precise. It is always a pleasant visit with him as he is a most pleasant man.
That was all we did today but that took up the afternoon.
I made pork in the slow cooker. It was not very good for some reason. Usually whatever I make in the slow cooker is great.
So our dinner was not the excellent one I had looked forward to. Oh well there is always another dinner LOL.
I have been after a good pattern for a hat and I think I found one in my side magazine rack that Matthew made for me. Thanks Matt I use it all the time. It is special.
Doesn't this boy warm the cockles of your heart. Cockles? Derived from the cochlea of the heart which look like the sea creature called cochlea.
A serious sewing machine with a hand crank. It must have taken a bit of dexterity to hold down you sewing with one hand and turn the crank with the other. I am amazed that it could be done at all and to have a straight seam is a miracle. The ladies of old were marvels.
And here is a quilt. An easy design just nine patches. Looks good though different colour fabrics would improve the look.
So that is the end for tonight.
Have a lovely evening folks.
Good night.
