tree runner

Download now as a pdf pattern

Windmill is the name for this block.  It is very nice to look at and the colours are also lovely to look at.

Great table runner for Christmas. I love it.

http://www.mccallsquilting.com/Block_Reference.html What might you make with this pattern?

I seem to have mixed things up tonight . If you click on the two sites above you man find the instructions for both the mug rug and the tree. If not then I must have really screwed up. Oh well that happens.

Circa 1900  Sewing machine, seems pretty much  like some of the machines we still have around over a century later. Good stuff.

This mug rug  is just right for a mug of coffee. Set the mug on the trees.

Another beautiful mug rug, it seems these mug rugs are just too lovely to put cookies and mugs on.

Aren't these birds adorable splashing around in the water?

In between Thanksgiving and Christmas turkey is served.Just to keep  the foodies happy.

It says we don't use templates but I do see scissors and plastic .

Now onto what we did today. We waited for the water man to come for the water container and the bottle. Ray has decided he did not want them any more and that I could have my water in small bottles. Fine by me but sometimes I liked to fill my bottle up from the big container. We'll see what happens.

When he arrived and picked p the stuff we went out to Metrotown. It was not as exciting as Brentwood. By the way I saw a fairy on stilts in the paper this morning. We must have missed her yesterday or maybe it washer day off.
Anyway Metrotown was a disappointment as far as decorations go.
We went to Sears to look for an under the counter can opener which the internet said was there. Not. It must have been the USA that has them. The problem is do we cross the border or order on line.

We shared an ice cream Sundae from Dairy Queen. That makes three this week. We have to stop celebrating Christmas this way. LOL.  And it is winter, who needs ice cream.

All we bought today was 2 red tea towels for me to embroider.  Big trade day Hahaha.

Home again and I stopped in the kitchen. Should not have done that. I made devilled egg for my lunch sandwich tomorrow. I chopped onions and celery and eggs in readiness for the mayonnaise and mustard.

We packed up the parcel for Rose's birthday which is on the 22nd. It is ready to be mailed.. She should get it on time I hope. Ray will mail it tomorrow and also take back my Fast Read to the library. Or i can do that when we come back from sewing. I still do not feel up tp going to both groups but hopefully in January I will have more strength to do so .

Squished in the middle. They are so cute, I want one.A brown one.

Aha! a busful of critters.

I am not sure if this hexagon is for October or December. I will have to check it out.

Hmm this could be a problem for Miss Kitty.

A strange place for a dog to rest but he seems to fit. Amazing.

My city Vancouver!!

 A vintage Lone Star quilt
being admired by ladies and guarded by an older woman. The girls look as if they are of the 1940 vintage as they are wearing saddle shoes and bobby socks. I wore them when I was a girl.

So that is it for me tonight folks.
Have a great evening.
Good night.
