e mail

My what a day. My e mail was downloading  mail  for some time past, even into September and August. I don't know what was up with that.
I cannot read or sort that many messages but will attack them when my blog writing is finished for tonight.

Lots of rain lately rain and wind, the trees are losing their leaves and covering the ground. Soon they'll all be gone.

Ray rested for the day as he was very tired. But I was full of energy for most of the day. I did several loads of washing and folded all of them up and put them away.

Then I cut up my Hallowe'en fabrics into 5 inch squares, that took some time to clean up the edges befor getting the cutting done. Our kitchen floors where I do the cutting, well not actually on the floor LOL but in the kitchen, the floors are ceramic tile and make my legs sore . However I was happy to get that done. I wanted to do some satin stitch on hearts that I got from the guild community quilts . I started to do the applique but it was not what I wanted , I tried several stitch widths and lengths but was not happy. I asked on my Janome list for some advice and got it , so I'll  try again tomorrow. By that time I was tired and went for a nap.
As you can guess we did not leave the apartment today, it was nice and for me productive.

Well this is very pretty but quite useless as there are no numbers for you to follow. However I am leaving it up just in case some of you are smart enought to figure out the numbers. I'm not :)) And it is pretty.

Now this is a lovely family excursion. Are they resting or hunting. I understand that when lions are satisfied they don't kill but wait until the are hungry again.  Do they look hungry to you LOL? They are crepuscular meaning active mostly at dawn and dusk. During the day they have the excursion you see in the photo above and at night they sleep somewhere Haha. They range from Africa to Asia.
The lion is very vulnerable and on the endangered species list so if you meet one treat it gently :))
What can I say about this beautiful scene except that it is beautiful. Adam called today and he and Lisa are ending their trip to the east coast where the have been enjoying such scenes as this. Today they went to Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia. It is a trip that everyone must take. I always liked going there, not just for the lighthouse on the rocks but also for the seafood chowder. It is a must for me, but they did not indulge.

That takes me back many years when I lived in Nova Scotia, I did like the east coast. But on the other hand I love the west coast and am happy to live here.
Richard found himself an apartment and he moved in today. He is setting up in Calgary where the work is. Peter too has to live in Calgary because there is work there and as Rick said the money is better.  Now I have only one son, Matthew here in this area. Adam lives in Louisiana, Jim, Peter and Rick are in Alberta. But they all come to visit.

Download now as a pdf pattern
Nine patch checkerboard , easy enough but could look better in real colours LOL.

Now these are real colours , I love pink, it brings me joy.

Now I notice that my facebook is repeating itself. What a mess. Hopefully it will all be over  tomorrow .
Time to go folks .
Have a good evening.
