short one

Good evening folks. It is a bit late to write up the blog.  My computer is misbehaving a bit but seems to have settled down now.
We had our water shut off from 9:00 to5:00, a full day, way too much for us to deal with so we went down to the states for the day. While there we went beyond Bellingham to the Skagit casino. I won about $600 so was able to use the casino's money to play with.
We had a luncheon buffet at the restaurant. Both of us enjoyed it.
Then we tired of that casino and went on our way to The Siver Reef . We had dinner at their buffet. We don't really eat enough to get the benefit of the buffet but like it because of the variety. The salad was lovely and Ray and I just enjoyed it. It was a good day and we came home ahead of the game. That doesn't happen too often LOL.

Ah have a nice hot cup of java. Where did that expression come from I wonder.

Here's a lovely teas set on a lace doily.  My mom used to set things up  like this and I do too when I have company for tea. It is so nice to make thongs look lovely. I have a nice tea set with more pieces that this. Mine is a set for four with cups, saucers, plates a teapot , sugar bowl and a creamer. Tomorrow I'll take a photo of it if I can as it is high up in the cupboard.
All dressed up for Hallowe'en. Some how I don't think the costume makes him look cute. I wonder if animals feel embarrassment when humans do such silly things to them. I always used to feel badly for the cows that gave birth in public at the fair.

Isn't this a beauty, very Victorian looking. It must take a long time to apply all those little pearls and the rose to the piece. It looks like a pumpkin .

Whoops!!

Today's Fall picture.
That's it I'm going to bed.
I hope all is well.
Good night.
