Fabric & Cutting

Dark country pink: (1) 6-1/4" x 6-1/4" square
White with pink print:
  • (2) 4-7/8" x 4-7/8" squares, each cut in half once diagonally
  • (8) 2-7/8" x 2-7/8" squares
Green:
  • (4) 2-1/2" squares
  • (8) 2-7/8" x 2-7/8" squares
To replace mid-point half square triangles with Flying Geese, eliminate (4) of the green 2-7/8" squares and (4) of the white/pink 2-7/8" squares.Instead, cut (4) 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" green rectangles and (8) 2-1/2" squares. Assemble as you would for quick pieced Flying Geese, orienting angles as shown in the illustration on this page.

This didn't quite turn out the way I wanted but here it is anyway.

Tuesday!!!!
Pat picked me up at 8:50 to go to Starbucks and  have our morning coffee and chat. A lady next to us began to tell us her life story and personal history. She talked on and on but Pat and I as nice women listened to her . We thought perhaps she needed somebody to talk to about her life , obviously. But she did not stay forever. We though she must have had some sort of mental health condition. Anyway I hope she felt better after all the talk.
Then we went on to the church to sew and chat and eat and drink and look at quilts. It was a great morning. I thoroughly enjoyed talking to my next chair neighbour Sharon who is working on a BOM from Shabby Fabrics - Sweetheart Houses.
Sharon was working on the block on the top row on the right. It was gorgeous.
Then Joan showed us a house quilt too but it is like a runner. Here's this one. Joan said something about Helen being involved with the blocks.
I can't show the next one as it is a secret. And nothing is a secret on the net LOL.
I worked on embroidering the antennae on my butterfly blocks this morning.
Juliet was not able to come to Pumpkin Seeds today so I could not hitch a ride home from her . I had some things to take over there but Betty took the blocks I  sewed over to Yoshiko. I have some other things too but will keep them until I can get over there.
Pat took me home around 12:45 and because I did not get to sleep until after 4:30 and up at 7:00 I went right to bed and had a long nap.
Ray went to the doctor . She gave him an application for a handicap card for his car. He is surely handicapped these days. Poor guy! He is in so much pain.

We had the last of that marvellous beef barley soup that Ray had made . He is such a great cook. That done and the kitchen cleaned up I sat to write the blog. This is my life LOL.

Isn't this a beautiful fall picture. I think it was taken somewhere in the east.

Yes!!!
how happy that makes us.

I may have put this one up before but I love it so it is up again. He is just the cutest little guy dressed up in his scarf.

Haha what a cute picture. It makes me smile and that is my criteria for putting a photo on the blog.

Hahaha.

And the best of the season. On that note I will sign off.
Have a great evening folks.
