Sew ,sew,sew

Download now as a pdf pattern

 Nine Patch square.

Jean we never eat a whole loaf of bread and we don't put it in the freezer. Ray likes his bread fresh and new so we just eat what we want,   then throw it out when  gets stale and buy fresh again.

Look and see, there are hand embroidery blocks on this page, well on the second page. Look down on the first page for the box that say Embroidery by Clover and Violet. They look so simple. The use of the hexagon as a palette for the embroidery is a great idea.

I don't know if you have heard of this technique to make a Drunkard's Path block but it is interesting to note how a coffee filter can be put to a different use.

Are you doing these little rabbits. This page has all the blocks listed and the quilt almost finished is shown. It looks so much better that I thought it would. Who can tell LOL?
Wow I am full of places to go tonight. Maybe it was my great day at my quilt groups. First Pat picked me up at 8:50 and we went to Oakridge to have coffee and our usual Tuesday meeting together at Starbucks. It was a great start to the day.

When we went to the church to sew , chat and look at books and magazines.  We did that for a couple of hours and then had lunch.
Betty Lu was there with some gorgeous sky fabrics to show me for the lighthouse bock  she is making for me. I am so excited about that as she is a true original in the quilting game. It will be an honour to have one of her blocks. All her work is original , no patterns for Betty Lu.

Joan took me and Betty over to Pumpkin Seeds for the next stop on the tour LOL. I did not sew, too tired but I did encourage others to carry on haha.  I    talked to my friend Lynn for a bit and then went into another room where more sewing was happening. It was soon time to leave .  Joan once again took us back to Betty's for tea and cakes. What a great day!!
I love this block but wonder what she is flying- looks like a balloon to me.

Sucking up the sun, this dog knows what is good, what makes the day. Have you ever seen such contentment.
We are going across the border tomorrow . I am wondering however how things will go after the shooting at the border today. A border guard was shot in the neck by a man in a van with Washington plates. He committed suicide in the end. The border was a place of chaos when this occurred. The woman was shot in the neck but there has been no news on her present condition. I pray she will recover from her injuries. What a dreadful thing to happen. People were stopped at the border for hours and only allowed home Tuesday evening.

Aw another sitting owl. Isn't he beautiful but I think he may have forgotten that he is supposed to be sleeping since it is day time.
Leopards, the smallest of the four large cats, jaguars, lions and tigers.
Baby tigers are just as cute as any other cat.
And now another Autumn photo
I should have said a magnificent autumn picture.
AAAND!

Time to go folks . I am tired after a busy day I am going to ride off into the sunset.  I hope all is well with you.
Have a lovely evening.
Guten abend.
