folding

http://www.kayewood.com/blog/freebies/free-patterns/

Scroll down to find a tutorial for a folded star. I did one or two of these at one time but found it hard to do. Maybe you can make an easier job of it. Good luck.
The plain one was my practice piece and the blue one the real thing LOL.

Download now as a pdf pattern
An easy peasy old time block , I heard it was called at one time the Friendship Block.
Now it is named Nine Patch Star which is quite suitable.

It rained all day and still is. I like the rain as long as I don't have to go outside and get wet haha. I live in a rainy country and have no rain gear nor an umbrella. Mostly we go out in the car and  it isn't that far to where we want to go inside.  Cushy isn't it? I love my life! What could be better than to stay in all day and be comfy in my chair, reading, typing, eating.
That's what I did today along with a few other things. It was the day for the cleaning lady, I was tired from yesterday , had a nap and woke up to a clean home . Wonderful LOL.
I did do a bit of calculation to see if the piece of  fabric I had would do for the job I wanted it to do. I think it will. Then I cut some more squares .
Marg came over with some more books. She is so way ahead of me in reading and I am getting a pile of books to read. She and her friend Shirley went on a bus trip to Tulalip. They had a great time together and plan to make that trip again in the future.

Ray wanted me to take this photo of our courtyard because he loves that red on the plant.

I forgot to take the photos off the camera on Tuesday, so here goes. There are not too many this week and all are for the hospital .
Betty's hearts for some lucky baby for Hallowe'en.

Another of Betty's baby quilts. Betty is 85 years old and a very prolific quilter. This one was hard on her hands.

It's pretty in blue and white but I am not sure who made it. Someone will enjoy it.

I had hoped for a better close up on the animal patches. But not to be- another baby quilt. We make a lot of them.

Cannot resist this one so here it is.
Dog time  folks LOL. Doesn't he look sad and the little guy between his legs is so adorable  looking up at him.

Hmm when did dogs get so manipulative.....

Autumn picture- a glorious yellow.
More glory in the forest. Or is it a park.

Now my grandson Aaron and great grandson Adam. They live in Louisiana and because I cannot go deep into the states i am unable to go there . My son Adam is there too but he comes up several times a year.

Time is up folks. Have a wonderful evening.
Buona Sera.
