a day out

http://bit.ly/19U27Ly

Cheerful little quilt for a grey winter's day.

We went out today for a while. Nowhere special , just up to Metrotown, but we had a good walk around half the mall and through Sears. The mall was very busy again. we thought it might slow down some after Christmas but that hasn't.  However we did find a table to sit at for a lunch of Chinese food.  I think it was the only table left open.
I am surprised that Sears has changed their product for women and not for the better. What they have on the racks is very sleazy and the fabric is that skinny, slippery stuff that you would find in a Walmart store. Although I have to say at one time I did buy good tee shirt kind of tops  there.  No more though.

We came home and I had a short nap , the Marg came over with some books , one of which I had read. We had a good visit.
It snowed in Calgary today and Richard sat in his wheelchair and watched the flakes gather on his window sill. He wrote about it in his blog. Rick's writing is poetic. You can read it here at
Richard Is Living With  ALS. blogspot.com   He makes for an interesting read.

Ray made sardine sandwiches for dinner. They are delicious. He mashes the sardines , adds vinegar and onions to make them. We love these sandwiches. Plus they are good for you LOL

Jenny Doan of Missouri Quilt Company demonstrates how to make a neat little pinwheel quilt. It looks like a lot of fun.

Pretty star isn't it.

And this one is also very pretty. No pattern though , it is just a great idea for a table topper.

A little late as the season is over. But I hope the mousie gets away.

For those of you who are buried under piles of snow , anticipate.

West Highland Terriers sculpted from snow and living in Scotland. A view from the rear.

I don't know what this means but I love this picture.

Time to shut down folks.
Have a pleasant evening.

Good night.
