a new block

Download now as a pdf pattern

Anvil.  Actually this one is an old block but a lovely one.

This colour combination is very pleasant. The yellow sure brightens up the greys and charcoals.
And it looks easy to make just squares and a few half square triangles.

My Cathedral Windows cushion. The blue fabric has faded slightly but I still like it. I hand stitched this one. I would like to make another one.

You can find something good on this site folks. How  to make a
zig zag quilt.

I have seen a number of Volkswagons decorated like this and always enjoy sharing them with my readers. This is a beauty. So enjoy it folks.

I lasted all day today, no naps . While I am a bit tired tonight i still can cut it. I have no idea why but I'll take it.

However I did not go out. Ray want out for a short while to get some cough candies for his throat.  I think he may be getting tired of taking me out. I am so slow when I walk and I get so tired. It must be frustrating for him although he doesn't remark on it. He is a classy guy. I did nothing so that is probably why I am not tired. LOL.

We are watching the hockey game . It is St. Louis against the Canucks .  Nothing nothing right now. Not too exciting.

Rick and I had a long talk today about changes in his life and where it is leading him , what it means. Of course it is not pleasant and he is anxious about the consequences of his disease. He is not alone in that. I am frightened too about what I know will happen to him.

Well I thought about making some of those blocks I put up  and  I think I will make a sampler quilt with them. Either that  or I'll begin making hexagons. I made a table runner for Jim with them once upon a time.

Ah here's a pillow that I don't know where it came from.  I am sure it isn't mine.

I love this quilt the best. I made it from a double four patch squares. Then I gave it to Jim for his bed. Katie is holding it up on the right side and I think that is Richard on the left. It was fun making the blocks, maybe I make another one.

Oh I seem to think Of making another quilt but you have to start it don't you?Hopefully I can get myself working once again.

Strippy hearts for an easy quilt. But no pattern . DRAT!.

Time to go now folks.
Have a good evening.
Good night.
