yarn and fabric

Blue yarn and blue fabric, I bought these at Walmart and they pleased my eye. That's all it takes just be pleasant to my eye.

My blue turns out yellowed oh well that's how it goes some times. 2 blue yarns and 2 blue fabrics. All on a blue table cloth.. Our carpet is blue too. BUT the sofa is red , how about that LOL. A bit of contrast.
I am going to do a bit of simple knitting tonight, just dish cloths to build up my pile. There are only three left in it.

It rained for most of the day but it was okay. I understand it was -37 in Thunder Bay and thereabouts . The rest of the continent is in a deep freeze except for the west coast, well perhaps the south. Sometimes it can be cold there too. One time when Ray Jim and I were in Louisiana it was zero. That was a surprise to us and on that same trip Jim had to drive in an ice storm. Not good. The police cleared all the highways. We got to San Antonio and it was frozen solid . So you never know what will happen in winter. I am happy to be here in Vancouver where it is comfortable as long as you wear a coat. I don't wear a hat or gloves or a scarf. But then I am okay with a bit of cold air.

Adam just called from Tallahassee Florida on the way home to Lake Charles La.
He and Lisa had been in Florida as she had a class to teach at a university there. I don't know which one. She teaches at universities all over the USA.  Lisa is one very clever woman. I am wondering if he can make it home tonight or if he has to spend the night somewhere. I should call him back and ask. I did and he does stop.

I talked to Richard this morning. He had to go for his blood test today. He suffers from Deep Vein Thrombosis so needs to take Wafarin. How much more does he have to suffer from. I wish there was something we could do for him but it seems there is not at the moment.  Maybe at another time. Right now he appears to be all right by himself. I just hate it for him to be alone. I worry constantly. I guess that does not help but I feel guilty if I don't worry. It's called being a mom isn't it ladies. ALS is such a scary disease.

Wonky Log Cabin looks like fun.

This is a great blue Heron. We have them around here but they do congregate in parks and trees. There are some in Stanley Park and Nitobe Gardens too. They are such a wonderful sight to see.

These guys are so funny. There have not been many dog photos lately but this is a good one.

Aha I'se the winna!

ah cruel winter. This is a great photo but I suspect the horse doesn't think so.

Time to go folks.
Have a lovely evening.
Good night.
