a new one

Imagine a new quilt pattern, one that is new to me. Boho bricks.

Arrows is the name of this block.

Charlotte is pouring  for afternoon tea and she is serving doughnuts. How nice. On second look I observe she has her dressing gown on so maybe it is breakfast she is serving.

I can't get the picture of this but trust me it is very pretty. You will have to open up the url to see what I mean. It is a great teaching video and very lovely ornaments for next Christmas.

We did nothing much today. Well I mean we did not go out today. I did the laundry first. Then I washed out the vegetables, radishes, celery and lettuce, dried them and laid them out on the towel. Then when they were appropriately dry I put them in their containers and then in the fridge. We are all set now for the week.
We made a pork loin roast for dinner. Together we spiced it up. It is funny. Ray put some spices on it and I added another couple of flavours. It looks fabulous and I know from previous times it will taste equally as fabulous as it looks.  Then we will add a baked potato and some salad. Great meal!

Other than those few things I did nothing but my facebook and e mail.
If I have not mentioned it you may have noticed that the last few days I have not complained of being tired. I have had no naps either. What on earth is going on. The days before I was so exhausted and all of a sudden things have changed. Not that I am complaining about the change. It is wonderful. I hope it stays this way.
Dinner was sooo good. I made gravy, baked my potato and we ate like kings. How nice is that?

Here is a Bengal cat. Look at those wonderful blue eyes. Apparently these cats are very affectionate and loving. I wonder if their markings are like the Bengal tigers.
A Bengal Tiger, would you believe that this huge cat is a member of an endangered species.
What gorgeous markings he has.
And here is the White Bengal Tiger another beautiful animal.
It is hard to imagine that these big cats are related to a small kitten even though their marking may be similar.

This is a lovely quilt made from just squares, squares can be terribly boring but with the right choice of fabrics and colours squares can be gorgeous. This one is.

Oh Canada our home and native land. A nice way to use the maple leaf design in a quilt.

Here is an interesting block. However it is not the block that I am presenting but the use of colour.  Strong colours on a weaker background gives this block a weighty significance. And of course red always stands out as it is a primary colour.

I wonder why people make this kind of mess of their sewing machines. I could not do this to my precious machines.  I like the surface that exists on my machines when I bought them. But to each his /her own. We are all individuals.

It does not happen often but this quilt is not pleasant to me. Too many colours and unattractive fabrics.

And that is the tale tonight.
Have a good evening.
Good night.
