day to day

Block of the Day.

Download now as a pdf pattern

Anvil is the name of this block.
I have always liked this block , a four patch made of just half square triangles and squares.  This is an easy block to make. It is however an effective block and I can see it as a quilt.

I ran into a variety of lovely quilts today so I decided to give you all a show of quilts. No patterns just lovely quilts to look at.

|Applique and piecing  make up this fine quilt.

Nice work on this one.

A manly quilt, I always think that dark colours are for men.

Hexagons are my favourite blocks and this one is very nice.

Nice design on this one.

Snail's Trail it looks like interlocking hands . But it is a very nice quilt.

Snails in the Sand is the title to this quilt. It is effective in red and black.

Pretty flowers in the corners.

Harvest Time and a lovely design.

Maple Harvest in Canada our famous maple leaf , the emblem of Canada.

Christmas Glow. I do like the triangles hanging down on the sides. It does look good on a square table.

That's the show folks, I do hope you enjoyed it.

I had to do it this way since I spent a good part of my day in bed. I was not feeling well today  , way too tired, so have nothing to write about folks.

Hopefully tomorrow I will feel better and we can go out. We are planning on it.

We heard from Rick today and he slept in until noon after going to a party last night. He has an amazing social life. I am so glad for him, he is happy there in Calgary.

Meaghan was busy counting the birds in her back yard and she counted an amazing number of different birds. It must be time for them to pass through on the way to the South.

That's it folks. I am off for the night and going to bed soon once again.

Good night.
