Interesting day

Grandmothers Choice: Votes For Women: The Kiwis: Sisterhood and Loss

The latest Grandmother's Choice blogspot For November.

This block is from the grandmother's choice
site. I love the greens.

Well not so interesting as a way back into the past.
I am wanting to do some embroidery and it has been such a long time since I even did any embroidery.  So I sat down at my computer to locate the embroidery piece I wanted to use. I found it and then had to remember how to take it off the computer and onto the memory stick. But first I took all the other pieces off the stick and that gave me more room. I know it isn't really necessary but I wanted a clean slate. It doesn't take as long to get the pieces up that I want to use. It was not easy to remember what to do after all the years since I had done any but it is amazing how it all comes back. The fingers know what to do even if the brain doesn't.

So today all I was able to do was take the designs off the computer and onto the stick. Then I took the colour sheet to where my threads are and chose the threads I wanted to use for the embroidery.

And that was it, I was so tired out I had to sit and rest.

Of course Ray and I had been out to Metrotown and we went to Target. First time for us in Target. We bought dolls for the little girls.  So that helped get me tired.  Now I am almost prepared for embroidering , just have to set the  towel on the hoop tomorrow and Get the job done.
I used to do all this and embroider whatever I had to do in one day. Now it appears that it will take three days. Getting old can be annoying some times. However I want to do things even if it takes me a lot longer.
Long story LOL.

It has been a year today since Rick was diagnosed with ALS. An awful day for him . I am hoping his disease continues to stall into the future.
In better days, Richard having a good time with his friends.

And that was all I did today. Oh we had lunch out. We went to the salad bar and I bought the rice roll and peanut sauce. I love that meal. However it is a bit sloppy and I slopped it on my jacket. Good thing it is fully washable and only one layer of cloth.  Ray had Greek salad.
Tonight Ray is cooking up some sausage for dinner. What else I have no idea but it will be good. It is always good when he cooks.

Cat in the cat house, what big eyes you have kitty.

Haha cute one . Always ready for dinner or snacks, that's a dog.  Reminds me not to leave any meat on the counter if you won a dog. Or it will be gone.  LOL.

Not a happy camper. Doesn't the look on that cat's face make you laugh. It does me Haha.

The red cardinal is such a beautiful bird. We don't have birds of such a wonderful colour here.

Porridge for the babies. She is licking her lips and he has his mouth wide open.

It is time for me to leave you good folk.
