translation

Today I received a comment but I think it is in Swedish or maybe Norwegian. I have no idea what it says but I want to thank the writer for taking the time to read my blog and to comment on it.

As for my day today. I spent the latter part of the day embroidering. It took some time to get things All set up as I kept forgetting what I needed to do and had to have to do the job. Eventually I got things organized and was able to settle down to work.It was a simple embroidery for a small towel. I like to have seasonal towels for the bathroom. This one was an old fashioned Santa Claus the male. I have the second one, the female and hope to do it tomorrow . It should be faster since all the things I need are out and ready to go including the threads that I selected.

Here is the HIS towel.

Close up of Santa LOL.

Our precious Rose is going to be a big sister.
Isn't she beautiful? what a great smile she has.

Early in the day Ray and I went to Walmart, we haven't been there for some time. Still the same old store, we buy margarine and a few food items. The clothing was not good so we did not purchase any pieces of clothing. I bought one paper backed book, can't resist. That was it and the bill came to $150. How does that happen I wonder.

Then we went to Wendy's which we do whenever we go to Wally's as it is just down the street.  We do't go to Wendy's except when we shop at Walmart. I had a baconburger , chips and a malted. I did not like my burger, the fries were good and I   love malteds or Frosties as they call them there. I used to get them at Eatons or The Bay when I was a kid and I loved them, still do. That was the best part of the meal. Ray had a 1/4 pounder and a coffee.

Then Richard called and Sam called and I had a nap Haha .

It was then I began my embroidery, it was fun. It seems a long time since I did any. Maybe it just seems that way. Anyway I enjoyed my work today.

I found some gold tipped embroidery needles in my sewing drawers today and used them for my Santa today. They worked well.

This works out to be 5.5 inches in size.  Sometimes these blocks are too small and this one can  be easily doubled to make a 10.5 inch block.

Santa's glittering palace in Metrotown taken from up on the 3rd floor.  It will make some child's Christmas so exciting when they sit on Santa's lap. I still remember the thrill I got as a child walking through the wonderful Toyland on the 6th floor of  Spencer's Or riding on the train.  Christmas is so wonderful for a child.

Time for dogs and cats.

A friendly kitten . It is a mug rug and so cute to place your coffee mug on during coffee break.

Time to go folks.
Have a great evening.
Good night.
