I appreciate the new number LOL.
We are waiting in right now as the cleaning lady is here. She works until 2:30. So I am fiddling around with my computer and at the same time watching the old show on TV. Right now it is the original Hawaii 5 0. Lazy days suit me these days. Maybe in the winter I'll be more energetic. Hope so.
Aren't these colours pretty? Each square is 2 inches finished , 2 1/2 unfinished. So you can figure that out I am sure. It has a nice contrast. I really like this block. I found it on Susan's blog. Starwood quilter is her name.

We did not leave the apartment today. Lynn the cleaning lady came in the morning and worked until 2:10. By then we were so tired from sitting and watching her that we just had to have a nap LOL. I read my book for a while before I fell asleep. I am reading the book Marg lent me. You know how books often start with a prologue that is seeminly unrelated to the main story but links up at some time. This one linked up very clearly this afternoon. I'd been watching for it and it came in today. Now we'll get down to the business of finding the criminal killer. It is quite a good book and an easy read.
Ray woke me up for dinner. We had corn on the cob and weiners. What ever has happened to weiners, they have no taste and I sure don't like them any more. They were beef weiners, big and not good.
Ray got another call about his back and it was an appointment with the Lion's Gate Hospital. Now he has an appointment at Vancouver General Hospital with a Doctor who is a consultant on Wednesday and the one at Lion's Gate on Thursday. I'll keep you posted on what happens next week. I hope they do more than just consult. I'd like for him to get a definite date for his back surgery and get some relief from all this pain.
I did some work today. On Wednesday night at guild Community Quilts had some packages for members to sew up. They are most simple to do so I started on them today. All I did was pin them because I have to pin first no matter what I am doing. What I like about these little kits is that I do not have to do the cutting so it eliminates all that standing at the kitchen counter. My legs are not too steady and cutting takes the life out of them. Tomorrow if time permits I'll sew them up. I have another little package to do but that requires fusing and thus standing up. If I can't do that I'll take them back to the guild for next month. But I don't think that will happen. I am looking forward to doing them.
As for Drunkard'sPath I am stalled as to how to arrange the blocks. The ladies at my early sewing group will help me if I ask them.
I found a picture of Adam in my collection , didn't know I had this one. I wonder what is coming out of his back .
Isn't this a sweet picture. Love in the animal world is like love in our world. I most often show dogs and cats but sometimes I love to see other animal pictures and this one is really special.
Richard called today and he was on his way to the doctor to see if he can get some help for his back and legs which keep collapsing on him. I sure hope so as he falls quite often, his legs just give out.
His docor has referred him to a neurologist in Calgary whom he sees on Monday. I hope he can give him an answer.
Albert entertaining the girls. He is a great dad and uncle ,he has so much patience, love and good humour with them. They are fortunate to have him as dad and uncle.
I think that is all for tonight. Have a good evening!
