Good one for Thanksgiving , a nine inch block , maybe you can make it into a small pillow cover.

Well these little coasters are just great. Not too hard to make but look just fabulous. They are so beautifully presented and gift ribboned. If you have an embroidery machine you can make them by embroidering a small piece and then finishing off as they are in the tutorial. I like the way the edges are crimped with the scissors. I did that with my rug mug but I have a blade that I can put into my rotary cutter and get the same results.

This is a great tutorial with bright cheerful fabric. It looks to me to not be very difficult.

Nine Patch Peony is the name of this block by Quilt Pro. I think it could be improved by by changing the colour of the flowers to peach... But then I never like some of the colours I see in blocks. JMHO.

We still don't have an elevator and it is really difficult to climb up four  flights of stairs with my shaky kegs. They were not happy today about the strain on them and shook like crazy, Tomorrow I will stay home. Lynn , the cleaning lady is coming anyway and I have to stay in.
But today it was beautiful to be outside . It had rained and cleaned the air which was superb, the sun was shining and it was warm. One of those very special days that you do not look for in November.
We spent some time in the travel bureau. I asked him , the agent, to get me tickets through air miles but he said he couldn't do that but he scanned Ray's driver's licence and sent it to my computer. Well what do you know it has not yet arrived and that was around 1:00 , now it is 7:40. I wonder where it went. We are having a lot of trouble with these air miles. I tried to scan Ray's licence myself and my scanning machine would not scan. We cannot do anything without his licence. Oh this is such a pain. We have 16,000 and some odd miles and I want to use them.  Oh well Ray said he would go out and buy me a new printer, scanner  tomorrow.

Tonight was guild night and I did not think I could handle the stairs one more time so I had to cancel out. I hate to do that since I really like going to guild. I know I'll miss some good things and I alwasy like to take photos of the Show and Tell quilts. No quilts to show tonight folks. It's a shame.
Matthew called and we had a long talk. The children are coming home for Christmas. Chelsea from Toronto and Ryan from Kelowna. Also Katie is coming home from  Toronto. Matthew said he'll bring Chelsea around before we go and Ryan after we come back. Little Adam is coming up from Louisiana but Aaron says he will make sure we see each other when he is here. We picked a great year to leave town .Haha.

Three pups in a bowl , how adorable.

If you are three years old this would be a perfect invitation wouldn't it? Love this little face.

Now this is red. Ever wonder why some Flamingoes are almost white and others grade up the colour line to this magnificant red. It has to do with what they are eating. Alpha and beta carotenoid pigment found in species of algae and crustaceans  in their diet.

Now what is a little barn owl doing in a tree. I guess they do nest in trees. Here is an adult Barn owl, the most common of the owls.

Here is another block , no instructions but I can tell you that it is 6 inches and is a 9 patch the most common of all blocks. So each piece is 2 inches finished and 2 1/2 inches cut. If you have those dimensions the rest is easy. You have a four patch unit and a half square triangle unit. Now I love these fabric colours.

I am going to rest now.
Have a great evening.
Guten Abend.

Couldn't resist it.
