Santa in the Pines revised update as there was an error in the one I posted earlier in the week.

So our day started with a visit for me to the eye specialist. I have to go every six months because I have had retinal problems so the doctor is quite careful with my eyes. Is there a problem that I have not had LOL... But I alwasy say I may be a mess but I am still here and still managing to do lots of things. I count myself very fortunate.
The doctor said my eyes are good and the bluriness is due to dryness and i think it is exacerbated by my laptop usage. I am on here too much I am afraid. Need to slow it down.

Then we went over to the mall and Ray bought himself a new electric razor. I was going to get him one for his birthday in December. He insists he want nothing so a good dinner in a fine restaurant is on the agenda for his 75th birthday.  Now to think of the restaurant. I am thinking of the Van Dusen Gardens. It is a lovely restaurant in a lovely setting.

Adam do you get this remark that was on the TV news tonight. Jesus saves and Esposito scores!! Of course you do.

We walked around the mall for some exercise , you would think We'd get enough exercise walking up and down three flights of stairs. Not an easy task and no news of a fix for it yet. I want to stay home tomorrow but Ray will want to go out. No wonder I am worn out when I get home and climb UP the stairs. He carries my walker up and down so he should be exhausted too if he had any sense LOL.
We went to Zellers to see if they were having a sale on as they are closing up in February but it is too early and before Christmas. However we bought a couple of Christmas toys for the little girls. Cute thing , a talking tea set for Charlotte and a talking Big Bird for
Rose.
That was it for us , the mall is quite large and getting from one end just to the middle is hard. We used to walk the whole mall from one end to the other but since both of us are as we call it 'cripples' It is just a portion that we can handle and then we sit half way through.  LOL.

I had to have a nap when we got home,   after  climbing the stairs of course.
Then we had a call from Lynn in Quebec. That took up a bit of time and we had another call, I called Margaret, hadn't heard from her for a few days and hoped she was okay and she was.
Her doctor told her she had never seen such a healthy 75 year old. She is amazing and she walks almost everywhere. Our dad was the same and he remained healthy all his life until he had a fatal aneurysm at 86. And then there is me but as I said I am still here despite everything. Hahaha.
So now we are watching American Pickers . We do this regularly and we watch Canadian Pickers too. I am not a fan but Ray alwasys wishes he could get into those barns full of 'junk' as I think of them.
But then I like new, no taste I guess LOL.
I got my envelopes of  Bingo fabrics ready to be mailed and I need to write a card for a friend whose daughter passed away with brain cancer. Cancer is so dreadful andthe fight has been long and hard. It is not over obviously but we pray that we can overcome.

Old Maid's puzzle. An old block I think. I remember it from when I first began quilting, not all that long ago in the course of the quilting world, but I am sure it is ancient LOL.

I am a bit behind in my Quilt Pro blocks of the day so here is another one.
