For Sam

I received an invitation from Sam that she had tagged me. I have to answer 11 questions about myself. I read all her blogs and see that she is an imaginative and creative  young woman who lives in Saskatchewan. She bought a small house next to her home for a quilting studio. I love it.
I think from the readings that I am supposed to answer the 11 questions on my blog, that is where she had her answers. So after looking at her blog and seeing what she is I decided to follow along.

1.Did you have an artistic background before quilting.
: Not at all. I am useless with paints and pencils and as far as I see not all that imaginative with my quilting either. I just use a pattern and enjoy myself.

2. What would you change about your quilting space.  Ha Everything ! My space is wherever I can find a space. The sewing machine is in a bedroom on a sewing table which I love but that is it. No room there for anything so lots of fabric I am working with is on the end of the table. I can always move it to the bed which is right behind my chair.  I cut on the kitchen counter after moving the kitchen appliances over to the other end. The ironing board is in the dining room along with my embroidery machine which is on the dining room table and my fabrics  are in a dresser in the other bedroom. Wow did you want to know all that? I may write nother blog tonight LOL.

3.If you could describe your quilting style in one word what would that word be.
Conventional.

4.How many UFOs do you have.
Four?

5. What inspires you to quilt.
Friends quilts. My friends in my quilting groups are wonderful quilters and they inspire me to improve as much as I am able.

6.What kind of information quilt wise have you had trouble finding
on the internet.
I don't have any trouble finding what I want on the net.

7.What is your favourite organization technique.
What?  What is organization?

8.What colour would you like to paint your quilting space.
Purple , mauve?

9.If you could visit any country where would you go.
New Zealand and Australia.

10. What is your favourite meal right now.
Prime rib , baked potatoe, salad.

11.Where do you buy your fabric.
 Fabricana, Tom's .

Now is that all Sam? Or do I have to do something else?

For my regular readers I'll continue here with the usual things.

A French Hen from Quilt Pro. Isn't she a lovely sitting hen.I like the fabric but then I do like polka dots.

Today we went to Marlin Travel and picked up our tickets for Quebec. We are both excited about the trip.  The agent Jeff was just great and does take good care to fix things up for us. I need to have a seat near the wash rooms and close to the front of the plane ,plus an accomodation for my walker. They put it in the hold with the baggage.  I definitely would go through Jeff again. We were not able to use our air miles points as they were fully booked. Too bad as we have a lot of points. I decided that I would use them to book a hotel room that we need on the way back. I think I'll use those points throughout the year so I don't lose them along the way.
We went to lunch at TOPS and had salad, beef and macaroni soup then a BLT. It was all very delicious.
When we came home Margaret called to say she had a book for me , so she came over and I gave her the mug rug I made last week, just for her. She liked it.
Tonight we didn't have dinner as we were full from lunch but we did have a little  something. I had my noodles and Ray had a sandwich.
 Ya hear that Karin. LOL.

Some guys just can't get a break. At least he has a buggy.

So the blog is big tonight and I plan to rest.
Have a great evening folks.
Hasta Luego

LOL.

LOL Nan I'm so delighted you answered my questions! I'm always so happy to know more about other quilters (especially those who are so much more experienced than I am, so much to learn). I hope you have a great trip to Quebec, I have never been there before. You have done all you have to do with the challenge. Thank You.
