odd bits

 http://alyciaquilts.blogspot.com/2013/01/123-quilt-of-valor-show.html
You may find these Quilts of Valor interesting. It is such a worthy project.
Another worthy project to my mind is my Flylady group where the ladies are making blocks for a quilt for my Richard.  They are such a kind group of ladies and the ones who made a quilt for me when I was so sick. Who would believe that people you have never met could be so good.  I am very grateful to them for caring.

Ray and I have discovered a very older persons activity for the morning. We have breakfast and I read the paper. Then we watch the old Black and White series of Perry Mason, then we watch Rockford Files and after that the old Hawaii 5-0. After all that we get dressed and go out for a few hours. Sounds pretty slack but we enjoy being a bit or a lot slack in the morning.
Tomorrow we are going to lunch with Bob and Buzz at 11:30 so we have to forgo our senior activity LOL.
We did that this morning and then went to Metrotown for Chinese food. We buy one plate and share it.  It is very good.

I was waiting for Ray and a man came by and remarked on my rings, he said not many women wear rings any more. Well I do wear a number of them because I love rings. We had a conversation on gold and the amount of gold in different such as 10K, 14K, and so on. I told him that Ray had worked in an open pit  gold mine up in the North west Territories. Then Ray came along and confirmed that he had worked there. The man Tom was waiting for his wife so we broke up when she arrived. I wondered a bit about him being so friendly. Hasn't life gotten so bad when being friendly has become a cause for suspicion. Quel dommage....

After we departed our new aquaintance, well new for a while Ray said let's go to the Villa Casino for a while, so we did. Ray won and shared his winnings with me. We were not there for long.
Then I had to go for a blood test and we got there just minutes before they closed.
So it was a good day for us. We had a simple dinner , I had a quiche from M&M, very good. I only ate one and it was small . There was another one in the freezer but I managed to restrained myself.  Ray doesn't care for quiche so he had Mrs Callander's Chicken pot pie. No dishes to wash or to put in the dishwasher LOL.
What a lazy day! I loved it.

Oh and I get a real kick out of this one. It's
hilarious.

This reminds me of  Chelsea and her band . LOL.
Time to go.
Have a lovely evening.
Guten Abend.
