More fuss

We spent a long time with Clayton and even he could not get back the browser that Java had lost but he did set me up with Picasa for the interim. We'll wait and see how that works out. This has been such a big pain for me and certainly has taken up a large part of my days this week.
Richard , Ricky and Adam are now in New Orleans They drove down today. It is a 4 hour drive through interesting territory for Canadians and the road goes through Baton Rouge the capital of Louisiana. Adam and I went to there once when I was in Louisiana. It was a party given by the governor of that day. We had our photo taken with here. Her name was Kathleen Blanco.
Here are Adam, Jim and Richard in New Orleans.  I was there too with my camera LOL.
It was a good visit for us and I have many photos but can't put them up here. You will notice that I managed to use the Picasa as Clayton showed me. Hurrah!!
This one is the view from my window last Sunday. Lovely sight isn't it. It has been cold for several days now. Last night Kathy and I had to be very careful in the parking lot because of black ice.
These pretty 30s blocks are ones I chain pieced on Sunday for the guild. This Sunday I must sew them together into blocks.
Here's the machine sewing the sides of the bowl. I love FSL , it is fun and easy. Michelle, if you really want to do it I'll take you step by step.
I like making bookmarks and embroidering on towels. They make great gifts. Sometimes I make  embroidered quilts, mostly for the grand babies.
Now for the day...
This morning we went to the chiropractor. We were early and he could not take us, so we have to go tomorrow at 1:30.
We waited for the water man to make his delivery, then we went to London Drugs and Clayton helped me get my pictures. It isn't the best as we have to use Picasa and it is clumsy but I have managed to use it. Another new learning for Nan. Keeps the brain clear and sharp. I could not find my pictures and there they were underneath each other, in a pile. Fiddling around teaches me new things.

Before we went out Ray had started a pork roast and then he had to stop the oven. When we came home he started it up again and boy did it ever taste good when it was finished, dinner tomorrow will be lovely. I'll make the gravy.
I am still having trouble getting the photos for some reason. Sometimes they will be fine and then the won't be available. Strange.
Arkansas Traveller. Oh my I love the red.
Download now as a pdf pattern

Marg came over and brought me two library books so I need to get busy and read them before the due date. She also brought Shelley Fralics's book, 100 years of Headlines a  book about the Vancouver Sun newspaper's 200 year anniversary. It should be good!
No more photos and no more news. So I'll leave for tonight.
Have a lovely evening.
