I am not a big fan of basket blocks and a lot of them come in . However I thought this one was kind of cute and also thought others may like basket blocks and I should not force others to follow my  likes and dislikes . So here is my first basket block. Good colours:)

Today we went out first in the afternoon to the chiropractor to get my sore back back in line and then to the doctor to make an appointment . We weren't sure she was back from South Africa so we decided to raid the office. She was and we made an appointment for Tuesday in the afternoon. Our next stop was Metrotown where we visited the lovely kitchen shop. Such nice gifts in that shop. Now I wish I had bought more than some lovely napkins.
We dropped into The Bay expecting it to be different as there are new owners and managers. Ray wanted a new  down pillow but they are a rare as hen's teeth these days. The store was not magically changed. Too bad.
We had 7-Up and some poutine. We shared the whole thing
We came home after that to make the gravy for yesterday's pork roast. We had that for dinner , a hot pork sandwich . Oh it was delicious.
So Rick, Ricky and Adam are doing New Orleans, Bourbon Street today and Cafe Du Monde tomorrow. Lovely meals at the restaurant. The first time Adam took me to New Orleans we walked down Bourbon Street, stopped at a restaurant all open to the street, and I ordered Etouffe. I had read about it so wanted to eat it. It was a rice dish and I can't recall the other ingredients but I can look it up LOL. Lovely internet. The recipe that I found boy Emeril and again by Paul Dean offers Crawfish and rice plus a variety of other ingredients. I wondered what a crawfish is and discovered it is a small type of lobster. Now I want some haha. I'll have to settle for hot pork and gravy. That's good too though.
If you would like to read Rick's blog about his day in New Orleans here it is.

Tonight I made the last two pieces of my embroidered bowl. Tomorrow I'll wash out the stabilizer. set the pieces out to dry and then I am hoping to sew them together on Sunday if the pieces are all dry. I am making the 6 sided one but I think the next one will be 5 sided. They are kind of fun to make.
Richard and me when he was last here over the holidays. Good picture of him but awful of me.

Kittens lapping it up from a bucket, must be on a farm somewhere.
Last night at our class Kathy gave me a present. It was a pair of applique scissors. I was so happy. Thank you very much Kathy.

Time to go folks.
Have a great evening.
Guten Tag.
